[nospaces] [break] you can't see all the things I take The clouds were looking heavy. [break][break] And it was this quest's fault! The girl let out a huff, as she tapped her foot on the ground - her dearest brother was taking for freaking ever. ''Hurry up you slow ass potato!'' she yells at him over her shoulder. The girl's twin tails of blue were bouncing as she walked. This was the quest that they had been doing before the faithful announcement - and luckily for the duo, they could abandon it and restart it. Or rather it got reset because of mister creator's need to be a dick and interrupt their goddamn quest to tell them that they were stuck in the game like a bunch of losers. And honestly, Kiera was just itching to finish this quest, and get going. [break][break] She wasn't going to be a left behind lowleveller no way. [break][break] Finally, the pair arrived at their destination - the old lady with the quest. Tapping acceptance, she just let out an irritated sigh at her brother yet again. ''Come on Paximoo, we gotta get movin' before the others wise up and start making it hard to finish quests.'' she says. Her competitive spirit was on fire, and even though most of it was at her brother, at the same time, she couldn't stand the idea of either of them being beaten. Perhaps that's where she differed from him - or maybe he felt the same way. Either way, the two were off, trying to do their best to get some levels. They had just been released from the square not long ago - even though her limbs trembled a bit, she couldn't stop. [break][break] It was not an option to just stop, not anymore. His sister was taking this quite well. She was energetic and full of fire. He appreciated that, because he had no idea how long the fire would burn within him, as well. He looked off at the horizon. This was such a beautiful game. Why would Kayaba waste such potential in his hardware to attempt to kill thousands of people? He grinned to himself. Attempt was the word, for he would not be beaten. He hadn't lost a PvP game to anyone but his sister in at least a decade. He wasn't about to start now. He took a deep breath and ran after his sister. She was probably the biggest reason he was going to beat this game. He had made her into a gamer, after all. He had molded her very philosophy of never getting beaten. If she died here, it would be his fault. He smiled outwardly to himself. She wouldn't die, though. He wouldn't let her.
"Alright, remember where the cats were?" he started explaining immediately as he caught up with his sister, completely ignoring the old lady's dialogue, "They're all in the same spots as last time. A shame we didn't get the third one before the announcement, though. That one's my favourite."
He recalled this quest from his beta adventure. This was one of many trick quests. The third cat was real, but it was also extremely dangerous. He wanted his sister to understand what kind of game this was. She'd be fine, he knew. She'd gotten the combat basics down extremely quickly. He thanked himself for teaching her to fight in real life. It seemed to carry over rather well into this game. KIERA

[nospaces] [break] you can't see all the things I take ''Uh huh.'' she said, rather distracted. [break][break] She was reading the quest dialog again, because she loved the concept of stories and adventure. This time she noticed some details she had missed the first time. It makes the girl wonder, but for now she has to put it to the side as her brother seemed to be rather... excited perhaps. Well whatever, she wasn't going to keep unnecessary thoughts in her head. It was easy to just let it bleed out, return to what they were doing before everything changed. But her brother had energy now. And soon, he would need rest - whilst she got to lay down the groundwork. She let a breath out, and tilted her head towards him, before shaking it as if she was amused. [break][break] ''Really? Then you can get the third one... I'll take care of the other two.'' she said. [break][break] Of course she was amused, but it would be relatively easy to find the cats. Hop one two three, and she had to go to the edge of town for the first one. She was sure he would go find the one he liked, and do that segment - unless he was going to waste time and wait for her to get to it because he wanted to show her a surprise or something. Whatever it was, it could be put on hold, considering her brother was the one that insisted that they should hurry up. And finishing the quests in town was the best idea, gathering them up like kids gather pebbles. Some would wait until the crowd stopped trying, and rise from their ashes. [break][break] But neither he or she would be like that, even as her eyes lit up as she spotted the location of the first cat. Now she just had to get there and grab it really quickly, before it decides to escape on her. [break][break] PAXILON [googlefont="Muli|Pavanam"]

Pax pursed his lips. His sister wasn't even listening to him! That he was surprised at all was a surprise in itself, though. He sighed as Kiera listened to every little bit of dialogue, as if she hadn't heard it before. Sure, she was more of a completionist than him, but surely she didn't think the phrases had been altered since they grabbed the quest the first time. Shaking his head, he followed his sister, deciding against going after the last cat by himself. He'd probably get himself killed.
"Considering I'm pretty sure the third cat doesn't spawn until we get the other two, I'll refrain from going off looking for it right now," he laughed at himself.
After following his sister for a little longer than he meant to, it dawned on him that he could've been getting the second cat instead of following her. He wanted to slap himself. He looked around, trying to gauge their location. The second cat should be on the roof inn. If he remembered correctly, there was an easy path in the alley next to the inn for players without higher DEX and acrobatics skills. Nodding to himself, he decided he'd go for the roof cat now, and meet up with his sister for the third cat.
"Kie, I'll get the second cat," he said, beginning to walk off towards the inn, "Meet me a little ways before the old lady's house. Whatever you do, don't give the cat to her until I show up, alright?"
Running off towards the inn, Pax recalled the time where he did this quest in the beta. He had died from it. Most players that did the quest didn't realise that the lady's house was right on the outskirts of town. Just barely out of the safe zone. They dropped their guard. He knew he had. And that boar that spawned in might not have been as strong as other ones, but it certainly had the advantage of surprise. Of course, the third cat spawns after you give the old lady the other two. Classic story stuff. As the third cat would walk out of the forest, though, a boar spawns from the city opposite the forest. You get distracted by the cat as the old lady points at it, and you get tusks in the ass. He snarled at himself for having died in the beta to such a weak enemy. He considered PMing his sister about the boar, just in case.
But he forgot to send the message. KIERA
