ARETO , sang , kyojinchichi ”These hogs have been taking over dad's grazing fields for a while. Spud farm may not be the more respectable place, but we don't deserve to be overrun with monsters! Still... maybe these beasts could be useful... Hrm, could you kill five frenzy boars and bring me their tusks?” After a good fifteen minutes of travel time, at least, what looked to be a farmer's farm, complete with a grazing field came into view. When they managed to get close enough to see what was in it, what they saw was... well, it was an infestation. Crops were upturned, and vicious looking hogs were wandering the fields in search of food. A fence enclosed the fields, but it looked as if there was a broken board at one part of the field. Albedo kicked up a foot to let his foot rest on one of the lower boards of the fence, and he leaned on his knee as he studied the area. "I wonder if this game's got bonus requirements that you can complete... like that fence there. It'd be nice if you could fix that." He observed passively. He gripped the rusty sword at his side firmly and withdrew it. It was a hefty weight, but he was sure it was nothing compared to the larger weapons, and frankly it didn't suit him in the least. He couldn't wait until he could get up the dexterity he needed to use his daggers. Daggers he would likely have to craft himself. He started pointing at boars with the other hand. "So five of those. Doesn't look too bad, does it?" He grinned. Y'know. The demon pig with the glowing red eyes. No trouble at all. [/div]

Areto wasn't a farmer, and doubted that he'd make much profit as one (since he'd be tempted to eat his crops half the time), but this seemed like a terrible situation.
Most of the crops were overturned and the fence was broken, the soil was ruined more or less, but maybe something would grow with a little work. Areto clicked his tongue and glanced around before sighting their opponent. A rather aggressive looking swine with beady red eyes that graciously weren't pointed in his direction. He let out a low whistle and glanced over to Sang.
"Seems like someone is a little angry," he said while vaguely gesturing towards their target.
Balancing himself on the part of the fence that wasn't broken, Areto leaned across and folded his arms. This was going to be a little tricky. There were quite a few of them but they only needed to kill five for the requirements to be fulfilled. Glancing out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Albedo draw his sword and moved to follow suit. It was heavy and he wasn't quite sure if he wanted to swing it around that much. Maybe if he increased his STR stat at some point it'd be a little easier on his hands or as his father said, practice makes perfect.
"Doesn't seem too bad, but I wouldn't be surprised if they aggro'd with how angry they look," Areto said.

Sang looked out over the fields once they arrived, a corner of his lip curling down in obvious disapproval. Even though he knew this was just a virtual reality simulation, seeing things like the ruined crops that could have fed many people, or the damaged fencing that took time and effort from somebody to make, got to him on some level. He gave the fence a light nudge with his foot, craning his neck to look at Areto and Albedo, then at the boars, contemplating what Albedo had said - outside of this game, he may have known how to do some basic carpentry, hammer a nail, cut a board. But would that translate into the game? If he purchased some skill relating to crafting, would it carry back over into the real world?
He shook his head. Now wasn't the time for contemplating that sort of thing! Now was the time for righteously killing some boar and turning them in for profit! Nodding, his hand moved for his sword's hilt, and he quietly came up beside Areto. "I think our best bet is to try drawing one or two at a time away from the pack, and ambush them." He motions towards the boars with a nod of his head, then looks at Areto, cocking an eyebrow and speaking with a half-joking tone. "... Which one of you guys is good at throwin' rocks?"

power up the bass cannon In wandered the greatest man alive. The one, the only, Tetsuya Kato. Self proclaimed MLG PRO, clad with only the dankest of maymays. He overheard a bunch of scrubs talking about the logistics of a standard trash pull. Clearly these people needed to be educated properly. He approached them, arms wide. He gave them a stern look, and entered the discussion with a helpful, thought provoking question. He asked, "
"
"YOU SCRUBS ARE LEVEL ONE, AND CALLING MARKS?" His narrow, suspicious eyes darted around, reading the eyes of these that watched the scene he created unfold."These things get one-shot by a single sword art. Here. Invite me and I'll show you how it's done. We only need 5. All of us only have to hit one boar, and gank the last. Unless you're all tomato baddies, which I doubt that every one of you are; I'm pretty sure I can trust each of you to activate your sword art ONCE."
Kato was evidently butt-hurt, but his challenging gaze stood strong, and most importantly, proud. He knew he wasn't being nice, but he also knew he wasn't wrong. After musing in the silence of having awkwardly interrupted them, he decided that it was his turn to speak.
"Hell, even if you all sperg out, at least you can stick the pointy end of your sword in a boar twice, right? Like, if you guys can't figure it out while I'm with you -- I deserve to be naturally selected for trusting you all with my life."
Kato stared at them expectantly. Surprised that his motivational speech hadn't immediately rallied them to his beckon call.
"So are you spurdos going to invite me or what?"

ARETO , sang , kyojinchichi On the one hand, Albedo was irritated at the balls on this guy, but on the other hand, after he examined the boar, he understood what the guy meant. The math added up. The boar's health was so low, level one mobs hardly ever had a dodge chance, and it probably felt more like a tickle than an actual attack when it did hit. He smiled and shrugged half-heartedly, before going through his menu a couple of times and adding the other guy. Hey, why not. They'd get the quest done fast, and maybe this kid would help them power level a little bit more. "Sure, why not." It was kind of obvious by this guy's avatar that he lived more in video games than Albedo did, or at least in any case, he didn't play for fun. He played to look good. Albedo doubted that anyone in real life would have this guy's physique and arrogance if they were stuck inside their room playing video games all day, and the constant mention of 'filthy casuls' kind of sealed that perception. He postured. A lot. He was like a peacock. A really fucking golden sparkly peacock. "Allow me." He grinned cheekily, and he gripped his sword down near his waist. He charged the first boar, a brilliant blue luminescence engulfed the sword, and he stopped short of the boar as he slashed upwards. «UPPERCUT» went off and he swung the sword upwards and through the boar with a glowing red gash. SWORD ART UPPERCUT: 10 DMG. STR: 0. DEX: 1 -- ADVANTAGE! RUSTY ONE HANDED SWORD: 1 DMG.
FRENZY BOAR: 10 HP. DEX: 0 -- DISADVANTAGE! With the surprise attack, Albedo had no issue with finishing off the Frenzy Boar in one hit. Unfortunately, what he didn't count on was that the Frenzy Boar had an aggro range, and two of them had decided that Albedo would be great to try to gore...

[attr="class","strawberry"] [attr="class","coconut"]HOG WASH Areto hummed softly and glanced towards the boar(s) who seemed to be peacefully grazing. Well, as peacefully as you could after destroying an entire farm. He crossed his arms and leaned further against the fence. Drawing them out by twos would make sense considering that the possibility of aggro was still looming in the background. But they could also take the chance to just confront them head on and see where the high road would take them. Too many variables, too many anomalies, and while Areto tried to figure it out — someone else made their way onto the scene. " Eh," he said. This player was shiny to say the least. Shiny, verbose, and rather proud. Pointing out a fact that Areto didn't even take into account, something was so so simple, it was iconic truly. The boars, even if they could aggro, were rather weak in comparison to his party mates along with himself. He was LVL 3 for god's sake, if he died from a few boars, that would've been a mockery of his own progress. Areto clicked his tongue and shook his head at his own foolishness only to perk up once a new name was added to his HUD. Kyojinchichi. What a long name, what did it even mean, it sounded like some type of chicken. Albedo declared that he was going first and promptly made his way over to one of the boars which was lying outside of the other's range. Areto whistled low as Albedo killed the Frenzy Boar in one hit with a sword art and clapped. " That was great!" Well, it was until aggro came. Areto stared with a blank face. " Well, guess it's my turn," he said. " Gentleman." He climbed over the fence and hurried over to where Albedo was, pulling his sword from it's sheath. One of the boars was steadily approaching while the other was in pursuit and Areto's sword glowed a luminescent blue color. He swung his sword diagonally as the oncoming boar coming into range, using «SLANT», and the boar's form began to waver before vanishing into crystalline shards. " Does anyone else want a turn?" Areto asked his teammates. And in his momentary distraction, the incoming boar was steadily gaining ground between them.
