She didn't want just the bacon bits anymore. Comic was ready to go whole hog - the entire sandwich within her grasp. While beating up the smaller pigs was okay with her, she had seen one or two of the bigger beasties loitering around - that looked like a real challenge. She had finished up the previous quest, taken a break, and relogged back in - food was important, after all, even if it was a meager takeout meal - and made her way back to the fields.
A boyish NPC was flagging people down, trying to convince them to go on a hog hunt. Sounded good to her. Comic already looked ready for it - sword out, resting on her shoulder, with her other hand up and hanging from the blade in a very lazy position. Another group quest, it seemed - but now that people had a few hours to get into the game, shouldn't there be more people out here to drag into these messes? Certainly, someone she could rope into it.
Comic tapped on the metal blade with her fingers, thinning out some patience and looking around. Time to snag someone with eye contact.

The realistic graphics of this game were too good. The feeling of the warm breeze against her soft skin, the itchiness of the starter clothes, the voices, the just... genuine sensations this game gave her were awe inspiring. She had spent the better part of the time after all the tutorials and basic set up quests taking in the simple beauty of this master piece. This was the start of a whole new age for games, that was for sure. The thought of something like this used for things like fighting games, or role play adventures, or dating simulations, even. It was really exciting, especially when it could incorporate recording for her channel down the line. Oh, just thinking about it made her bounce a little as she wandered along. After spending so much time sight seeing, it was about time she got back around to actually work on leveling up, quests, and the like. There was supposed to be one around here, right? Or so she heard from some other player she was wandering past. Then, before she could hear the NPC, she could see them and another player in the distance. As she approached, the NPC's calls for help with hunting hogs started to catch her ears before she glanced towards the other player. She gave a friendly smile, and wave to her. " Heya, looking for a quest partner?" she greeted, before glancing away to pull up the quest info from the NPC for a moment.

The pleasant, simple greeting was a better exchange than her previous examples of quest partnership - perhaps this could be a simple quest and move along the way it should. Comic nodded at the newcomer, trying to give her a look over as she received the quest statistics. She looked familiar enough at first glance, but a closer inspection didn't give her anything but that sense. Either that, or she subconsciously stopped caring about whether or not she knew her. Something in that line of thought sounded right.
Comic took a try at the party menu; it took a moment to recall how to do it, but the invite was sent out and she waited on that while picking out some of the boars in the short distance, a hill over. They certainly looked meaner than the pigs from before; she would probably have to use real Sword Arts and not just automatic attacks and manual swings. A little more boring, and risky; actually activating a Sword Art was a weird sensation. Having her body operate on some kind of auto-pilot felt weird.
"So, ah, any preferences? One at a time?"

It was pretty obvious from looks alone that this other girl had been playing the beta much longer than Kiki had been. Her armor was far better than the basic rags Kiki has as clothes, but that didn't seem to change the other's willingness to play with her. That was nice, no elitism to worry about here. As the party request invite was sent her way, Kiki didn't hesitate to accept it. Then a new health bar appeared in the corner of her eye and Kiki tilted her head to try and look at it. It moved as she turned her head though, making her pause and instead try to glance over at it with her eyes. Comic. That was a cute username. Kiki looked back to the redhead and hummed in soft consideration at the question. " One at a time works for me. It'd be bad to accidentally aggro more than we can handle" she agreed, before pulling out the basic blade she had for starting out. " Would you like to take the lead?" she questioned, idly adjusting her grip on the handle of her sword. " Oh, right." Turning to face Comic, Kiki offered her free hand for a proper greeting. " My name's Kiki, by the way. It's very nice to meet you."

At least they both had the same, shitty sword. The game lacked classes, so everyone just had the same equipment at the time of creation - it made her stick out just a little more with her chest piece, but that was an acceptable trade-off. Besides, another day or two into the beta, and she wouldn't stand out so much. Things would work out that way... or so she hoped. Comic also realized that she tended to just pour all of her time into things like this. It was easier than having to lay in her bed in the noisy city nights.
Party invite accepted, she turned to check the name - Kiki. Something was working its way through her brain; a subconscious equation solving itself on its own time. Name, face, voice... she shoved it aside. It didn't matter if she knew her or not. That wasn't why she was here, why either of them were here. Comic met her eye after the introduction and nodded. "A pleasure. Comic." Answer back, give name. Could almost pass as a real person's conversation at this rate.
Comic lifted her blade and pointed out a pig on the opposing hillside. "Let's walk to that one." That seemed easiest to do. "How... new are you? Know how to swing your pig-sticker?"
