about
Castiel is not, in fact, a man. He is a she, pretending to be a he.Eve is a 25 year old rookie detective. A very recent graduate, actually. And she’s not that great at being social. In fact, it seems as if she doesn’t understand some things at all. Yes, it’s easy to have some sort of conversation going on, but sometimes people would have to wonder if she had a loose screw rolling around.
friendships
The ghost of Eve Rhodes had many, many friends. Back in the day, before the “break up” happened, she was quite outgoing and perceptive of people’s feelings. Empathetic. Her ability to “sense” what topics are good to talk about and ones where it’s an absolute no-no had a lot of people liking her in some small way.Of course, that’s all in the past. The Eve Rhodes at present is more closed off, indifferent, and ridiculously clueless in a some social situations. Expect awkward questions, and morally or philosophical conversation topics. This particular Eve isn’t all that bad. A bit of a bore, maybe, but she does have few quirks.
Though she doesn’t have that elaborate garden of friends anymore, Eve treasures the close friends she’s able to make. And while she’s a bit paranoid and a tad distrustful, Eve does her best to always be there for them when needed. Especially when it’s imperative that her friends need the hard truths.
SUGGESTED ROLES: best friends! casual friends. questing partners.
antagonists
Not exactly an aggressive person, Eve tends to try and ignore the negativity of other people. Brushing off the harsh words in regards to herself seems to work well enough for her, though it’s also most likely that she’s bottling it up. The latter is likely the reason why she tends to be resentful and cranky as she reaches her boiling point.Normally, when something goes down, she’s the epitome of calm and rationalization. However, when it comes to threatening or insulting anyone she considers close friends or family, Eve tends to throw the first punch - literally. Probably the worst thing for her to do in some cases, but at least that’s one thing she retained before her personality change.
SUGGESTED ROLES: questing partners on bad terms (for whatever reason - bad morals, jerks, etc.) but they work surprisingly well and in-sync with each other. people from her past that didn't like her / bullied her in some form. the woman that stole her (ex)boyfriend!
romantics
Imagine a wall. A very tall wall, one that rivals the Great Wall of China. Then, behind that wall are inches of thick, welded metal. Yeah… Romance isn’t exactly Eve’s favorite genre or topic at the moment. Looks like the rumors about her going crazy after a break up wasn’t all that silly. While Eve is capable of falling in love or having affections toward someone, she’s more than likely try to run away from it. Deny, deny, deny. That’s her only strategy when it comes to growing feelings. Well, that, or running away.
If anyone’s going to attempt to court her, be warned that Eve does carry some heavy baggage around with her. And while the situation of her past relationships might sound or seem very childish of her, it scarred her deeply.
SUGGESTED ROLES: the one! one-sided crushes (her on him, or him on her).
history
Early on in her life, following her adolescent years, she was known to hunger for knowledge and that might have been because of her extremely curious nature. The young girl loved books, especially fiction, though she did read other subjects that managed to catch her interest for a while.A natural learner was what most adults called her, and it certainly carried through the years after finishing high school. Eve was part of the group that didn’t lose her studying skills. It helped her attend and excel at a well-known university, where she managed to reach the last stretch of her medical path. Just two more months and she would have graduated.
Unfortunately, as petty and stupid as it was, Eve dropped out. Many of her friends and schoolmates speculated it was because of her long time boyfriend dumping her for someone else. The details were all jumbled up and rumors skewed the facts. Either way, the dark haired woman had gone off the deep end and threw away her education.
Instead of wallowing or thinking of going back to finish her major, Eve chose a completely different path - an undercover detective. Or something as close as she could get to being a clandestine spy. It was harder for her to adjust since she had been deep into her medical studies, but had managed to get all the mentalist techniques down.
As the newest member of the team, Eve was stuck doing most of the research and other “newbie” duties. It was then that she found herself getting into the “virtual reality” hype train. Newest game was the talk of every age group and she just had to experience it herself. Limited gaming knowledge aside.
