[attr="class","link-title"]PATCH 1.0.1
[attr="class","link-text"]
[attr="class","link-text2"]On November 6, 2022, the virtual reality gaming company ARGUS released a Virtual Reality MMORPG called SWORD ART ONLINE, as developed by KAYABA AKIHIKO. It was supposed to be a gamer's dream. Little did they know that the minute they logged into the game, they would be trapped until the players could defeat the game and finally log out. Ten thousand lives put on their NERVEGEAR. Only six thousand, one hundred and fourty-seven would live to see the game complete.
Welcome to the full launch of Link Start. After a few weeks of beta testing and a month break to work out the bugs, we're pleased to announce that we are fully open to the public! Some things have changed since the beta test, and while we would detail what has changed in a patch, we won't be this time. In the spirit of Sword Art Online, the beta testers have information from the previous beta test that they feel can help them through the game-- and like the actual series itself, things have changed without the beta testers knowing. It's up to them to figure out what has changed-- and frankly, it gives the beta testers no excuse to not re-read over the rules and system for new content.

[attr="class","link-title"]PATCH NOTES
[attr="class","link-text"]
[attr="class","link-text2"]Unknown. What did Kayaba Akihiko do? And why is the game so ruthless this time around?
- Beta testers are being asked to reapply with their characters with the face claim of their character's real life appearance. This is the one and only chance that beta testers will receive to change their face claim.
- Beta testers will be receiving small benefits for participating in the beta test. This is to emulate the sense that these people do in fact know what they're doing compared to the retail players and to give them a small edge over the competition.
- At 5:30 PM CST on November 6th, 2016, an announcement will be made that will declare Sword Art Online a 'death game'. If your character happens to die before this announcement, that character does indeed die, but it can be safely assumed by the players that witness it that the person just had trouble logging back in or maybe that the game is on hard mode and they'll come back in later with a new character. If a player tries to log out before this announcement, they will not find a logout button-- this is likely just a glitch that the GMs will fix if you only just send them a support ticket? Maybe?
