[nospaces] [break] you can't see all the things I take She and her brother were in a party together, like always. [break][break] It was easier that way, she thinks, even as her breath comes out irritated. Another fetch quest - she was getting tired of these, but she had to do all of the lower leveled quests before going out and getting some fight on. If anything, it would mean she would have a better grip on the basic controls, and be able to keep things flowing smoothly. There couldn't be room for error in anything, because if they fucked up, they fucked up hard. It was their life on the line, and even though she was a free spirit of sorts, she wasn't going to ignore that sort of elephant in the room. If anything, it means she's going to have a lot more to do. [break][break] Part of it meant reeling in her brother's stupid rashness. [break][break] Right now, she was near the quest NPC, keeping an eye out for people coming in for the quest. She'd already asked like six people, but none of them were interested, they had their own little group. That was fine, but she was looking for that lonely soul - the ones that had no one but wanted to get better. If anything, the siblings could probably blow past this quest and move on already, but she wanted to make sure. Because even though she was competitive, and had surefire confidence, she wanted to be cautious. She wasn't going to go without a back-up plan, and a third party in their little world might help. That's why she was getting everywhere recently - scouting for the gems in the dirt among the players that were still living. [break][break] Someone was approaching, and the blue haired girl turned around, flashing a grin. ''Hello! Are you interested in this quest? Me and my brother could do it with you, if you'd like!'' she called out to the stranger. [break][break] PAXILON, open quest[googlefont="Muli|Pavanam"]

Pax grumbled to himself as he walked back to where his sister said she was going to set up shop and look for someone to join them. He patted the newly acquired armor he had put on and pulled his new sword out its sheath. It wasn't the best gear, by far, but its was definitely better than that rusty junk he had started with. He tilted his head and popped the bones in his spine. He had wanted to rush into the next quest, but his better judgement caught him and told him to go buy a few things with his money. The weight of two HP pots filled him with a little more faith in their next quest.
As he turned the corner, he saw Kiera yelling at someone else to join them on this quest. Shaking his head with a sigh, he walked towards his sister. No noobs wanted to go on a fetch quest with two other players. Two players was honestly too many for simple little fetch quests. His sister had ulterior motives, though. He knew that. She wanted allies. Friends. People to call upon when they were out of help. He nodded to himself, agreeing with the idea. But, this was much too early to be asking random people to go on quests with them. He would rather wait until they were a couple floors up before trying to forge intense alliances with people who may or may not realise the potential of these gaming siblings.
"Kie," he said, none to softly, "give it up. No one wants to join someone who looks like they actually NEED help on a fetch quest."
He laughed, knowing she'd yell at him. Instead of trying to fight back, though, he made a pose in his brand new armor, "How do I look? Do I look like I could woo all the female gamers?"
He gave an exaggerated flex and raised his eyebrow at his sister. It was too much for him to take himself seriously, though, and he just started snickering before busting out in an all out laugh. He sat next to his sister and made a motion with his hand as if he were a lookout.
"Any potential recruits for our locket discovering cause? I'm sure we'll need half the server by the end of the quest," he smirked at his sister, "But seriously, we need to keep moving before this floor gets cleared. Let's go."
He stood up and stretched, trying to get a good feel for his new armor. KIERA

Her mind had been circling around the idea of algorithims and trading practices all day. It was much harder without her brother there to figure out the patterns with her. For the first time since the death game started, she missed her family. The feeling was fleeting but it was still there. She missed her brother's laughter and her younger siblings' squabbling. The way her mother would yell and her father's patient smile. Suzaku wondered what they were doing without her. Did they miss her and cheer for her outside of the game? It would be nice if she could hear the sound of their voices again. A voice called out to her and Suzaku turned around only to be bombarded by two siblings. She blinked slowly while watching the animated pair talk to one another then to her as well. They wanted to run a quest but only two people were needed. She wasn't exactly keen on joining anyone else on their exploits but there wasn't any reason that she shouldn't try to. It could be a great way to meet potential customers and embark on new trade ideas. Along with analyzation. Mustering a small smile, she nodded. " If you'll have me." [nospaces] [break] you can't see all the things I take Of course. [break][break] ''Oh shut up. Just because you're a stick in the mud and are an asshole, doesn't mean we can't help out people. And you look like a turd.'' she said, her voice oddly dismissive. Of course, he couldn't know how many nerves he had been hitting lately. She loved her brother and all, but Kiera was the kind of person that didn't let go of things easily. It was partially why she could keep up, even beat, her brother in games. She never gave up, no matter how things looked grim. But the one thing that made them different, is that her brother was extremely selective. He only looked for the best to add to his collection, to use them to get further ahead. He didn't even consider the long game most of the time, because he was a reckless fool. [break][break] She knew better then anyone that a friend isn't something to scoff at. [break][break] Her very own best friend, the one person that doesn't let her become a wrecked shut in like her brother, was someone she hadn't really been friends with until high school. But they've known each other since they were very little. And he doesn't understand any of that shit because he gave up on real life. She even ignored his last quip, turning her attention to the girl. She smiled at her and waved a hand as if getting rid of a fly. ''Don't mind my brother, he's an asshole. I'll be glad to have you, more eyes to look is always a great thing.'' she said, sending the invitation to the girl. Thankfully, she was the group leader, so she wouldn't have to wheedle her brother to do fuck all. [break][break] And if he was unhappy with her helping people, well, he could take his dick and shove it up his own ass. [break][break] ''My name's Kiera, yours?'' she said, trying to be welcoming to their third, to make up for her brother's dickish tendencies. [break][break] PAXILON, SUZAKU[googlefont="Muli|Pavanam"]

He looked like a turd? What a poorly thought out insult. He frowned and re-examined his armor. It wasn't even brown. He couldn't think of an appropriate retort so he just shrugged and leaned back, looking up at the bottom of the floor that was above them. He wondered just how far he and his sister would get before it was too much for them. Maybe making friends early was a good idea. Setting up a foundation to build on. He closed his eyes and imagined how nice it would be to have a whole slew of friends that would help and listen to him. He opened his eyes and mentally scolded himself. Day dreaming about having friends meant he was probably an unfriendly person. He didn't want to self-analyze that far today.
"Kie, you seem a little flustered today-" he started talking, but was interrupted by a newcomer and his sister immediately pouncing on the opportunity to make a new friend. He almost groaned out loud, but managed to keep any distasteful noises within himself.
He turned his gaze from above and looked down at the newcomer. There was nothing too suspicious about this new character. He nodded to no one in particular. His face was suddenly stricken with dismay at his sister's words. This new person clearly hadn't even heard the last bits of the conversation! There was no reason for her to think Pax was an asshole. Pax remained in the background, placing his hand above his heart, as if he'd been punched straight in the larynx. He was about to start over-acting when he heard Kiera introduce herself. Upon hearing this, he waved with his hand raised as high as he could get it.
"I'm Paxilon, by the way!" he projected his voice probably a little louder than he intended, but it certainly didn't sound like he was screaming at them, "Not that she would introduce me or anything." KIERA SUZAKU
