t was a nice day to lay down in your bed, put on this hunk of junk on your head and delve into the world of virtual reality, only to find yourself enjoying outside things in the comfort of your own room. Technology was amazing, but the one thing it couldn't do was help him with his fatigue. Work was awfully hectic, bogged down by the constant barrage of emergencies he had to tend to. It was the life he had chosen and because of that, he had to deal with the consequences. Wandering aimlessly through the Town of Beginnings, the man, clad in his beginner garb, was simply taking in the sights. Experiencing what the game had to offer was something most people were probably going to overlook. His avatar roamed the streets, watching as people crowded vendors to spend their hard-earned Col. For him, though, he was behind on the curve because of work and everything, but he didn't mind that one bit. It was the experience that he wanted. "Excuse me, sir." A faint voice called out to him. After an exchange of words between himself and the NPC, he was prompted with a quest message. Like it was his job, he slammed his index finger against the «ACCEPT» button. The only issue now was trying to get up to the roofs and the clotheslines without hurting himself. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

Ii hated games. However, he had to admit Sword Art Online was not that terrible. Being able to control everything without a controller was truly amazing, and immersing yourself in a different world had a certain appeal. An appeal he would've found infinitely more irresistable when he'd been fourteen, but at seventeen, it still drew him in despite reservations. The Town of Beginnings more than earnt its namesake for him. Among beginnings, there was also a quest.
Ruler stared up at the kite, fluttering in the wind. Its rope was caught on the rooftop, and Ruler guessed that if they could just cut the rope or, better yet, loosen it from whatever it was caught onto, they could retrieve it fair and square. Still, he wasn't sure how to reach the rooftop. He was already considering scaling the walls when the quest NPC started talking again. Glancing to his side, Ruler noticed another person taking on the exact same quest. "You're doing the kites quest, right?" he quizzed. Maybe he was being too forward, but no one here knew him, and he knew no one either. There wasn't a reputation at stake either, because it was a game, so approaching random people should be fine. "There's one up there," Ruler pointed, "but we'd need to climb the roof. Wanna work together on this one?" That his informal tone and language did not at all fit the European gentleman look he'd crafted for himself, Ruler did not think about.

ayaba, the kind and merciful god, had sent him a blessing. The sound of another man's voice piqued King's attention, sending the man into a 180 pivot on his right heel. There, an older looking European gentleman queried at the Korean's current tasks. This really was a blessing from the Gamemaster himself. "Yeah, I am actually." Jeong Ho stared up at the fluttering image of a kite caught on the rooftop. Made with what seemed like rudimentary material, he thought it'd be a little easier to just gather things for the girl rather than scaling walls. "Uh, I have an idea. We can stack a few boxes to get to the top and you can use me as a step up to the roof." It wasn't the greatest solution to their issue, but it was an idea. Besides, the thought of the older guy trying to lift his butt up onto the roof was a recipe for disaster. Backs would be broken and hips would be shattered. As King moved over to a set of crates piled in front of one of the vendors, he made a little line in the air. "Before I forget, actually." Pressing the all too familiar sequence of buttons and slides, he summoned the party screen and lobbed an invite over to his quest companion. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

"Stack some boxes, huh. Izzat wise?" He didn't mean it as a criticism. Brows furrowed, Ruler looked up at the kite in thought. Certainly, if they could find enough boxes to stack, there'd be a makeshift platform. Ruler did not disagree about that. He wondered at the amount of boxes, and if it really would be so safe. Could imagine himself falling down, and that'd be bad. Still, Ruler didn't have any other ideas. "Got it, let's do it." He accepted the party invite, learning immediately that his temporary partner's name was 'King'. "Ah, you're the 'King' Prince was talking about," Ruler recalled. It was that bright and chipper guy, whose mouth moved more rapidly than... anything Ruler'd seen before. As he talked, Ruler had moved over a crate himself, placing it firmly against the wall. Because the building wasn't very high, the boy estimated they'd need at most three crates stacked on top of each other, plus a boost to reach the rooftop and pull themselves up.
