allowing in his own mortality and being too afraid to venture off into the world was not an option for him. Yes, it took him a bit to mentally prepare himself to accept the new reality of his. He no longer had that determination to seek out the beauty of the world. Instead, he was sparked by a surge of energy to try and do his best. His entire life had been spent working on himself to help others in the world of medicine. King deemed it necessary to carry on the traits of his real self into this world and that meant doing his part. Contributing to something bigger than him and devoting himself to the lifestyle of this 'hardcore gamer', well he was alright with that. However, he was far behind the curve when it came to power and he had to catch up. Fast. Going back to a familiar place out in the wildlands of Aincrad's first floor, Jeong Ho picked up a quest from a farmer whose issues were derived from a set of wild piggies who needed to be taught a lesson. There was just one thing missing though: a partner. Posted up against a wooden fence, his foot planted on the lower rail while his forearms rested on the topmost one, he waited for any brave soul to venture out this far to take on five pigs. Why was this so difficult? It was all fake, right? The players may have been people, but the monsters and NPCs were all completely fake. They didn't feel pain, they didn't have feelings... So then why did he struggle to kill something as simple as a little pig. This was one of the few quests Farms encountered during his first day of playing that he had no interest in completing. But now that things had changed. He was going to have to fight. Every battle he didn't fight was one where someone would take his place. And every time that happened there was a risk that other person making up for his foolish feelings would lose their lives because of it. No matter how much he hated it, he was going to have to take something else's life.
"It's not real..." He muttered under his breath as the quest giver babbled on about his objectives, paying little attention to his words. Kill the pigs, that was all he needed to hear. With a heavy sigh, a gauntleted finger moved to accept the quest. Now all he had to do was get down to business, something that would probably require assistance to do in a reasonable time. At least he was lucky with his equipment rolls, managing to get a little bit of strength from his armor. He didn't feel any different, but he hoped it would make this go by a little smoother.
Eyes scanned the field, noting many other players already engaged in this quest in a frantic effort to bulk up for the trials to come. He couldn't help that so many of them lacked proper equipment, something that was extremely worrying to him. Fortunately those people were smart enough to group up, so they didn't seem to need his help. The players who really needed help were the ones who were alone. Even the weakest players can survive if they have proper backup, he was sure of that much.
It didn't take long for him to lock his eyes onto a played. His username read as King, a somewhat worrying sign. A loner type, probably had big goals set in place before all of this happened. Hopefully he wouldn't be too prideful to accept help, since his type were going to be the ones who needed it the most. A hand raised as Farms approached the man, a welcoming smile on his face. "Excuse me, King? Would you...like to help me? I could really use some help on this quest." Maybe if he made himself sound like the one in need he wouldn't damage his pride. The last thing he wanted to do was upset a fellow player.
