❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. Liatris normally would of left the task to the man, but something about Farms made her want to work a little harder. Maybe it was because this whole time he didn't expect anything from her, he didn't ask her to even go on a 'date' with him after this. For some reason, it kind of hurt Liatris' feelings. Did.. maybe she wasn't as attractive in real life as she thought. She was sure he would ask for something any time now. but when she saw his genuine worry as she came up. Man, she wasn't sure. She'd delt with nice guys before and they either wanted to only be friends or they still expected to date her and treat her like a princess. But, she couldn't tell with Farms. Maybe he was the friend thing, but they normally wouldn't let her cling all over them. Needless to say Liatris' adrenaline was gone and all that was left was fear and confusion. " Whatever you want." She said with a shrug and sat next to him quietly, probably for the first time since they met. When he offered her the cloak she looked at him in surprise, maybe it was because this game felt so real but her heart skipped a beat. When she realized she was blushing a little she took the cloak and quickly wrapped it around herself, pouting a little and muttering a small. " Thanks." This was a problem. But, after a small bit of time Liatris composed herself back to her normal self and brightened up a little looking at her clothes. " Oh man! I hope water doesn't damage armor. Not that I've got anything other then the newbie clothes." She said with a laugh and a smile at him. " Dude, I think I did pretty sweet. I woulda asked you to go down if I knew that the rope would break!" She laughed a little trying to get herself to forget about his concern for her. He wanted something from her. That had to be it. No reason to treat him any different from anyone else. " Let me know when you're ready to go! I'd hold your arm but I doubt you'd want me dripping all over you." ✎ tags -- ( Farmsalot) ※ notes: ARE THOSE DOKI DOKIS??? oops never mind must be gas. [googlefont=Open+Sans]

It was hard to miss her sudden change in tone. She went from being bubbly and upbeat to being much more quiet and subdued. Maybe she didn't want to rest and just wanted to get the quest over with. Or maybe she was just too tired to keep it up after the incident at the well. Either way he felt like they both could use at least a bit of a rest, so he figured it would be best to leave it be. Though the redness of her face only made him worry more. He may not have been able to figure it out, but it felt like there was something wrong that was missing.
At least she wrapped herself up in the cloak and made herself a little more comfortable. Though with how open she was before he doubted she would be offended by the offer. He sat quietly for a time, giving her however long she needed to warm up, dry off and catch her breath. It wasn't like he was in a big hurry to turn the quest in. When her tone changed yet again Farms wasn't quite sure what to think. Maybe she just didn't like the silence? But even the way she spoke felt different, becoming much more casual than it was before. No matter how hard he tried he just couldn't figure this one out. But if she was back to laughing and smiling he wasn't about to complain.
He returned her smile and shook his head. "I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've spent a lot of time with armor and I haven't seen anything like that before." Gaze turned back to the well, the snapped rope having already reset itself in preparation for the next unsuspecting player. He laughed softly, seeing the bit of humor in the otherwise terrifying situation. "If I had known I wouldn't have let you go in the first place. But I think you handled yourself pretty well, all things considered."
Farms turned to look back at her, taking a deep breath before pushing himself off the ground. "If you think you're ready, then I am too." Once he was on his feet he held out his hand to her and shook his head. "I really don't mind. It's just a bit of water, right? Besides my arm's mostly metal anyway." Most of the water would slide off, aside from the bits that managed to work it's way into the gaps between plates. Still, it was worth his arm getting a little damp.

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. See?? He totally wanted to feel her body all over him. She just fooled herself into thinking that he genuinely wanted to help her? HAH stupid. Everyone was out for themselves, especially here. Still, it sounds like he might be an armor crafter and that could help her out in the future, of course she'd NEVER ask him, just subtly hint every now and again. Taking his arm in her arms, she smiled at him. " Aw, you're the sweetest~" She said, totally ignoring the metal thing. Really, it didn't matter to her all that much they were both getting what they wanted. A symbiotic relationship, where they both benefited from it. He got affection and she got help in quests. It was how it always was. She put herself back into her normal mindset before looking at him. " So what did Mr. Farmsalot do before this whole disaster?" She asked smiling at him, wondering if he really did farm a lot? She was actually really interested, as she wanted to be a botanist eventually and breed her very own flowers. So they were both kind of similar. " Did you actually do farming? Or is that a fun play on words for the gaming term?" She asked, giggling and nuzzling closer as they walked. For some reason she was always embarrassed about talking about her interest in botany, not that it wasn't obvious from her username, but maybe Farms would be interested in talking to her more if she told him and he was a real farmer. There she went, changing her tone again. Maybe he was just imagining things, but he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Liatris than she let on. At least she seemed to be doing better, going back to her energetic self as she wrapped herself around his plated arm. By now he was used to it, though her little compliment was enough to bring back a bit of that red tint. "I wouldn't say that..."
His movements were less stiff than before as he lead them back to the quest giver, though still not quite as smooth as if he were walking on his own. Farms looked away from her with a nervous smile as she questioned his life outside of the game. "Well I uh..." He almost didn't want to tell her. His life outside of the game was boring to most people, as he was frequently reminded whenever he tried to bring it up in the past. Not that he could just ignore her harmless question.
"I grew up on a farm, but I'm in school now. I study Agricultural Engineering. You know, irrigation and stuff like that." As much as he wanted to go into further detail on his studies and personal projects, he figured it would be best not to bore her with the details. He glanced down at her nuzzling against his armor, the previous nervousness suddenly flooding back to him. He should have known better than to look down. "S-so what about you? If you don't mind me asking of course. You've probably got a more exciting life than me."

Liatris worried for a moment that she had taken it to far, asking about his life before the game. But considering their situation now to her it was kind of just asking a co-worker what their job was before. Still, asking about real life stuff was pretty awkward for some people so she could of over stepped.
But after a little bit Farms answered honestly, and Liatris was happy to learn he was a real farmer. She smilied real big at him "That's super cool!~" She said ecstatically. If Liatris would ever show her real self now would be the time that she was. She genuinely loved farms, thinking the life was super interesting.
So, normally when a boy would ask her what she used to do, she'd answer a rich heirss that traveled all the time and did nothing but be waited on. Or sometimes depending on the boy she'd say something like government work to sound cool. But, she decided to be honest since.. it actually was similar.
"I'm kind of embarrassed about this, so keep it a secret but..." she let out a soft breath, hesitating before mentioning. "I'm in school for botany, specifically flowers, I like to breed them." Her face heated up a little bit, for some reason being honest was just embarrassing to her. "Don't let anyone know I'm kind of a nerd okay?" She winked at him, hoping to calm down.
Really, it was a stupid thing to say as a gamer, it was obvious she was rather nerdy but guys liked gamer girls, smart girls were intimidating. She didn't want to seem intimidating. tags Farmsalot combat none notes I made a quest template!~ It's probs gonna change some so don't get used to it haha. Also, since it's been so long since I've played her forgive me while I struggle to get back in character.

Her response brought out a weak smile. the situation here being all too familiar to him. No matter how much he loved what he did, he knew that to most people it was hard to find a more boring topic. Still people were usually kind enough to be nice about it, feigning interest and moving on to the next subject without any further questions. "You don't have to say that." It wasn't until he looked back at her and saw the look on his face that he got the impression that her interest was genuine. "Wait, you're serious?" His pace slowed to a stop as he looked down at her in confusion.
A woman like Liatris was one of the last people he expected to have an interest in agriculture. With all the hard work and manual labor involved it was hard to imagine such a charming young lady being drawn to such a thing. But this just proved that she was full of surprises. Brows furrowed in curiosity as she prefaced her response with a request for secrecy. "Yes, of course." He had to wonder what she was going to say next. There was no telling, really. So far he had yet to accurately predict just about any of her actions, so he had just about given up.
Brows rose and smile grew as she gave her response, a hint of excitement appearing in his eyes."Botany? Really?" He couldn't have hoped for a better answer. "Why would you be ashamed of that? Botany is one of the most wonderful subjects." It was clear he was having trouble keeping his voice down, barely managing to speak in a hushed tone as he spoke. "I know this probably doesn't seem like much to you, but I've actually be experimenting with hydroponics in my dorm. They take a lot of tending, but I've managed to get a few roses to bloom from it. I find it all to be fascinating." His mind raced with all of the subjects they could discuss and the questions he wanted to ask. Eventually he settled on the most basic of them all. "What's your favorite flower?"
