[nospaces] [break] you can't see all the things I take Exhaustion, tiredness, hunger. [break][break] These things felt like real factors, no matter how many times she tells herself she's fine, she's just in a video game. Perhaps it was the normalcy of these things, but she plopped down on a bench with her brother, letting out a heavy sigh. She was honestly tired, they had been doing quest after quest. And when her brother is asleep, she takes their col and goes to find a shop to buy them new gear, and barter for food and board. The little things he didn't have to worry about because she was awake far longer then he. She had to pull her weight into the equation of course. Her brother was the beta tester, and she was his aide, his apprentice, the glue to his knowledge. [break][break] Of course, things weren't exactly like in the beta. [break][break] Luckily he was calm, and she had patience. Together they could get through everything, even as she leaned back, closing her eyes. Extending her legs out, the girl felt them crack and snap, letting out another tired groan. She could go for a break, she's sure of it. But the blue haired girl doesn't even realize that her legs are in the way of anyone walking past them, and is an accident just waiting to happen, to some poor soul just walking along here. [break][break] But even if you told her, she probably wouldn't care about such things right now. [break][break] PAXILON, Comic[googlefont="Muli|Pavanam"]

Pax sat on the bench with a groan. They had almost gotten themselves killed. Again. He picked his legs up off the ground and sat cross-legged. He put his hands on his lap, and closed his eyes. To the untrained eye, it seemed like he was meditating. But honestly, he was just trying to nap. These past two days had been nothing but pure action. Non-stop grueling, gritty action with near death experiences every time. Well, maybe they never actually got close to dying. Maybe he was just being extra careful because one death was all they would have. He sighed himself into a near sleep-like state. He was about sick and tired of boars.
"Hey, Kie," he moaned as she sat next to him, "I could really go for some ribs right now. Smothered in barbecue sauce. Not because I'm hungry, but because fighting them is tedious and I want revenge in other ways."
He fell asleep. He dreamed of pork-filled meat buns, bacon, and full-rack ribs. It made him happy. Out in the real world, he was drooling, and slowly collapsing onto his sister's shoulder. What a duo these two were. KIERA Comic

The foulness of the evening was beginning to get to her. Her mind ached; her body felt raring to go for more animal murder, but she could feel the fatigue of the day wear at her. When Marisa got tired, it wasn't a good thing. She felt that forever-ebbing anger grow and gnaw and try to climb out of her like the ugly black fiend it was, could feel the need to shut down and cry the week away, could feel the apathy eat out of her face and it was ugly.
So she tried to find something to push on with, to keep distracted with. Certainly there were still quests to do, still ways to push her body until the brink of death and then pull it back again. HUD open, Comic navigates the menu slowly, trying to figure out what NPCs from the beta she had currently neglected and if any of them could be a quick source of cash to fund the rest of her armor before the labyrinth was found-
and then she felt the snap on her legs and fell. With a crash, Marisa caught herself on elbows and hissed, untangling her feet and slowly rising off the ground. The simulation of pain in her extremities was very real.
"Why don't you fuckin' watch yourself, huh?" With a whir she turned onto the culprit - a younger looking girl - and spit out the instant venom before her mind caught back up with her and she bit her tongue, face still a show of anger and regret.

[nospaces] [break] you can't see all the things I take And accident. [break][break] Kiera felt her body jerk, and her eyes flew open, startled. She hadn't even considered that this could happen, and she immediately felt guilty for it. The snapping reply didn't bother her really, but the blue haired girl was on her feet, heading towards the others. ''Damn it, I'm sorry I didn't for this to happen.'' she said. She offered a helping hand, despite how getting up made her legs hurt. Her brother was probably napping away on the bench - or the girl's fall and words might have woken him. Who knows with that man. It didn't matter if the girl took her offer of help or not - actually she didn't, but that's not what mattered - but it was the fact that Kiera offered the girl some help. [break][break] It wasn't enough, but it was okay to help ease her guilt. [break][break] ''Also damn, nice venom. Hit me again with some more. I haven't had a good offensive discussion with people in a while. My brother doesn't count in that though.'' she said. Honestly, Kiera was impressed with how much venom the girl had thrown her way - and in a way, saying what she said was to ease the regret she could see. Kiera wasn't a mind-reader or anything, but she was very familiar with open mouth, insert foot syndrome. And that's probably what happened with this girl if anything. Or maybe she's just an angry fountain that needs a good vent. Who knows with people honestly? [break][break] So she waited to see what the girl, and her brother, would do next. He was yanked from his brief slumber by a sudden scuffle. Harsh words were thrown. He kept his eyes closed, and tried to bring back the bacon to his vision, but alas it was gone now. With a gentle sigh, he lazily opened one eye to examine the scene. His sister had apparently tripped up some passerby, who was immediately volatile. Probably tired and stressed, he guessed. But what his sister did next surprised him. She apologised. Usually, she would hop on the opportunity to stress someone more than they already were. She liked to test peoples' limits like that. Like him, she liked to know what she was getting into with a person.
With a shrug, he closed his eye back and yearned for sleep to return to him. He listened to his sister in the meantime, actually asking someone to be mean to her. That was something he hadn't heard her do in a while. Well, he wasn't around her all the time, but still. At the mention of him, Pax sat up straight and opened both his eyes with a yawn.
"Our angry bouts don't count 'cause you already know how I react to everything, and that's no fun at all," Pax gestured with a little half hearted wave to the red head, "nice to meet you. Hope your trip wasn't all that bad."
Pax probably could have come up with a better joke, but he was so dreary from everything they'd done already that this joke was probably the highest caliber he could think of for the time being. He let out a weary sigh and propped his chin up on his palm, elbow digging into his leg. His eyelids drooped as he tried his best to stay awake for whatever this conversation was going to bring them. She didn't want this. She didn't want to get into this, right here right now. That was what something was telling her, in the back of her mind; don't do this, don't pick this fight. It was an accident, it was just a misunderstanding, it happens.
The voice was overshadowed by the pent up frustration and rage that had built up over being trapped in this game, over her shitty life, over how everything was mounting up and creating a powder keg that just had its fuse lit. There was no stopping her now as her chest swelled and she pressed forward, pushing as close as she could to have her body press into the shrimp.
She seemed so small; Comic almost had a foot of height on her as her eyes pushed into Kiera's, knives in the dark. Her breathing had that eerie slow crawl to it and she lightly relaxed her shoulders, mouth snarling open to give her a piece of her mind.
"You're a useless bitch in my way, and I'll fuckin' cut you down right now, right here, unless you get the fuck out of my face." With each bit of emphasis she tried to press further into Kiera, pressing her weight further and further forward, feeling her arms flex and tense with aprehensive adrenaline. She was trying to pick this fight, alright, and she glanced over for a moment to the boy.
"Do you want to taste the dirt too? You want some?"
Regret.
