Pax was shaking. His eye twitched. He browsed over the items in shop again and a scowl grew over his face. Did Kayaba think this was funny? Giving beginner shops useless equipment that would probably break upon fighting your first mob? He threw the sword back on to its stand and muttered a curse under his breath. He was getting no where with NPC shops. He needed someone who could craft weapons. Or at the very least, something to take his frustration out on. He received a notification warning him about breaking things in NPC shops. He snarled and waved it away.
He turned on his heel and huffed away from the "weapon shop". He supposed he couldn't expect much from the starter town. Or any other town, for that matter. He closed his eyes and took in a calming breath. He had only just woken up an hour ago. He hadn't been able to find any information on a player who could craft weapons, and he was getting increasingly irritated by the minute. He exhaled and opened his eyes. There were players and NPCs alike flocking through the streets. He frowned as he looked down at his armor. After finding that armor crafter, he stuck out like a sore thumb amongst noobs. He shook his head slowly, realising that many of the players were shooting him dirty looks. He could see it in their eyes.
He must've killed for that armor.
He closed his eyes and tried to calm himself. It would be extremely hard to question people about someone who could make him a weapon if everyone kept snarling at him like this. He could feel himself start to shake in anger and annoyance. He clenched his hand into a fist and started storming off. If everyone here was just going to glare at him, he might as well just go back to Tolbana and let his sister yell at him some more. Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. Character building was something that Liatris normally left to Finn helping her with, or she'd just do a support build. This time though, she decided to build herself so that she could attract people better. She wanted odd skills that others might have valuable, that's why she decided to learn cooking as her very first skill. Something that might make her look attractive to a certain few. Liatris was rather proud of herself for being so creative! Really who would of ever thought of doing such a simple skill so early on. (In reality she's just an idiot and likes to cook and is currently trying to justify not spending her time doing something more useful.) Anyway, while walking to check out maybe looking into spending the night at the inn, she saw something that she just had to have. There was a man with really fancy armor. Everyone was staring in envy or whispering about how he probably killed someone to get it. While Liatris knew that the man wearing it would be a giant help in getting her out of here! So she came over and grabbed him by the arm. " Oh!~ There you are!~ It's so nice to see you again!~" She said, then glancing behind them a little. She didn't know the stranger but she whispered softly. " hey, those guys were going to follow you out of town and try and steal your armor by killing you through PVP. So I suggest not leaving anytime soon." Behind them there was a group of boys all talking amungst each other, but they had no plans of such things but it made Liatris seem like she was good for helping him out. But there were a lot of them, so even if he was super strong it'd be a difficult time. Liatris was hoping he didn't go off and threaten them or something, but hopefully if things worked out she could drag him away for a nice chat. Then again if he threatened them that'd be fucking funny. It was a win no matter what. ✎ tags -- ( PAXILON) ※ notes: Boop Boop Shadoop [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Pax was in the middle of thinking about how best to get out of town when someone grabbed his arm. His instant reaction was to push away whoever it was, but he stopped as the person spoke. See him again? What was she- Oh. He let himself get dragged away. He stopped for only a moment to shoot a terrifying glare at the group of idiots she spoke of. He let the bloodlust that was inside him seep into his glare, a snarl forming on his face. A couple of the guys just laughed, but he could see legitimate fear in at least half of them. He smiled and turned to the woman who was dragging him away.
"Oh, darling," he mocked in a higher pitch voice than he meant to, chuckling to himself, "I thought I would never see you again! Oh, blessed is the day!"
If she didn't appreciate his humor, that was fine. He'd consider it payment for suddenly dragging him away like that. He blew air from his nose and reversed her grip, grabbing on to her shoulder firmly, but not so strong as to be rude. He took her to an empty table in the inn and motioned for her to sit down.
"I have just a few questions," he spoke regularly this time, voice much deeper than when he'd mocked her, "I won't force you to sit with me, though. I know how it could ruin someone's image. Either way, I'm hungry, so this is the perfect place for me to be."
He sat up straight in his chair, closing his eyes and focusing on his breathing. The day had only just begun and it was already wearing him out. He opened his eyes and looked around for the waitress. She was a few tables away, taking some player's order. Looking back to this new acquaintance he pondered on what he could possibly say next. Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. Liatris knew that this guy would be fun to have the second he responded. He was all for just playing along with her, little did he know that whole thing was just a big act. Then again most of her victims didn't realize. He dragged her away into the inn, good thing he seemed interested in getting to know her more but she was very interested in getting to know him. She didn't know why, but despite the fact that white knight types were her favorite, the cut the bullshit types were MUCH easier to deal with. Of course he could be anything now, it was harder to judge personality now that people didn't make their own avatars. Still he apparently had some questions for her. Her image was the last thing Lia cared about. She'd ruined it several times already, and never for hanging out with the wrong crowd. So she placed her elbows on the table, and setting her chest right on top too. She smiled up at him. " Oh darling~" She threw back to his mocking her. " You're much more important to me then some image~" finally she laughed a little bit. " Nah, but I don't mind at all, what do you want to know?" She asked, dropping the whole act for a little bit, and twirling a strand of hair around her finger. ✎ tags -- ( PAXILON) ※ notes: Boop Boop Shadoop [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Pax nodded as the girl sat down across from him. He gathered his thoughts together and- . . . Why was she sitting like that? His eyes wandered from her face, to her chest, to her posture. He looked her dead in the eyes, the most curious look on his face. His eyebrow slowly raised as he began to wonder more and more why she was acting like this, and he decided to just be out with it, "Why are you sitting like that? That can not be comfortable and it's probably god awful for your posture. Are you- . . ."
His eye twitch as he was hit with the sudden realisation. He'd seen this before in his favourite animes. He'd heard about people like this from certain friends. They always acted strangely like this, and they always dressed up fanciful and in gaudy, useless clothes. It would also explain the way she'd talked to him out on the road. He leaned forward, eyebrows furling together as he voiced the concern that was on his mind, Are you . . . a role-player?" Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. It had caught Liatris off guard when he asked why she was sitting like that, she even sat up. She almost explained herself, when he got really serious. She wondered what in the world he wanted. She leaned in as he whispered to her. She couldn't contain her laughter, holy fuck this dude was a total idiot!!!! She laughed really hard for a long time. " No, no no." She sputtered out as her laughter calmed down. " No, I sit like that because big boobs hurt a girls back and it helps my back to give it a break every now and again." She said, finally calming down. " I guess I also enjoy the anime aesthetic, but I'm not actually that much of an otaku." She laughed rubbing the back of her head. " Why? are you?" She challenged him with, a little uncomfortable that he might of caught onto her whole act. She didn't know how to deal with this, most guys would get flustered or at least take a long look at her before hitting on her. This.. this was new. Man she didn't know how she was expected to reply. " It's okay you can tell me, I wont judge." Except she would. ✎ tags -- ( PAXILON ) ※ notes: Boop Boop Shadoop [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Pax sighed in relief as the girl explained herself. With a laugh, he nodded and leaned back in his chair. He'd never heard good things about roleplayers. According to a couple of people he use to talk to, they were a bunch of idiots who decided to make a story instead of enjoying the one that was already in the game. He considered for a moment what it would be like to have back problems because of breasts and shook his head at the idea. Was that even programmed into the game? He'd mentally return to that subject later.
"Me?" he smiled wickedly at the girl, and put on his favourite overly exaggerating sarcastic voice, "Why, of course, my lady! For you see, I am the great Dark Warrior, Paxilon! Slayer of harmless pigs and devourer of bacon!"
He pulled his sword out and held it in the air, beaming a majestic smile. He was about to continue on his monologue when a warning blipped in front of him about there being no PvP in an inn. He sat there for a moment, just staring at the notification. His eye twitched and he slowly slid the sword back into its sheath, waving away the notification. He put his hands on his lap and shook his head. This conversation was all over the place and he needed to give it direction, "But no. My name is Paxilon. Everyone seems to have taken to calling me Pax. It's nice to meet you." Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. His responce made her cringe a little. Role play was a cool concept, but hardly done right. Of course, she'd done it a couple times but uhm. It certainty wasn't the type of role play he was talking about. Still, she could work with role players.. especially dumb role players. Just as she was stratigizing what she should do to get him to help her, he took it all back. Then she let off a small sigh of relief. Oh good. That means this wouldn't be painful for her. " Ah, it's nice to meet you Pax! I'm Liatris, and I gotta admit I'm bored as hell" She said with a soft sigh. " But I'm awfully glad I could come to your rescue~" She teased, but wasn't sure if he'd even get it " Do you have anything that a bored girl can do in this game?" She gave him a soft wink. Even if he didn't catch her drift, she honestly would have a lot of fun trying to get his responses and explanations for his behavior. Dude, she'd already found something fun to mess with.. she just wasn't sure how to befriend an idiot. ✎ tags -- ( PAXILON) ※ notes: Boop Boop Shadoop [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Pax found himself just staring at Liatris a little longer than he should have. Something about the girl was off putting. He couldn't quite put his finger on it. The way she was acting. Switching back and forth between attitudes. Acting. That was it, he concluded. She was a decent actor. She wanted something. He squinted his eyes at her for only a moment, and then shook his head. He would deal with something like that when the time came.
"Come to my rescue?" he chuckled and shrugged, giving her a coy look, "I'd say you're the one who kidnapped me, really. Right now, I'm just waiting on some dashing dragon to come save me from this evil princess."
He smiled a bit and waved for the waitress, who had been nearing them. He ordered a small steak with some thing that he'd found akin to mashed potatoes. Certainly American-ised food, but he enjoyed it. He looked over to Liatris and cocked an eyebrow at her, "If you want any food or anything, I'll pay for it. Lord knows I've killed enough mobs to treat a lady to a meal every now and then."
He gave a modest nod, but reminded himself that he could probably afford to feed every lady he'd met thus far every day for a week. He tried his best not to let his pride show through, but wasn't sure if he'd succeeded. He was, after all, a very proud man. Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. A moment, a second, but in that second Liatris' happy cheerful face turned into disdane. He called her an evil princess and that pissed her off, but after that second she turned back into her cheerful self, only responding with a soft giggle. Man, she was ready to give up but another look at that armor made it worth it. At least he wasn't a total pervert. Those were hard to deal with in an environment that they could actually touch her. Ugh gross. She blinked in surprise when he offered to buy her food. She tilted her head, wondering what he wanted in exchange? Maybe it was for her 'helping' him with the group of guys. She wondered if he really was catching on to her flirting but just decided to be an idiot about it? He was at least being polite, that was nice. But man this guy was hard to figure out. Whatever, she had never said no to anything free in her life and she wouldn't start now. " Sure thing! Maybe I can pay you back later though, help you in a quest or something." Meaning, she'd throw him a dish from her new skill sometime and follow him around while she hardly helped in the fight. " Have you checked out the labyrinth yet?" She asked curiously, she wanted to check it out but NO WAY was she doing that alone. ✎ tags -- ( PAXILON ) ※ notes: Boop Boop Shadoop [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Suddenly, the wheels that Pax had thrown to the back of his mind all clicked together and started turning. He saw it, that moment. Years of training himself to read people so that he could beat them in whatever they challenged him in were all coming together in this bright moment of epiphanies. His bright smile warped into a much more sinister mix between scowl and smirk. His eyebrows pushed together in a moment of contemplation.
"You can pay me back by answering my questions," Pax's face had no shred of false, friendly composure. His eyes bore hard into Lia's, as if trying to drill into her mind for information. Suddenly, every brain cell he had was pointed at her, trying to read her every movement - every emotion. This was the kind of battle that he didn't do too often, but he enjoyed more fervently than any physical fight. A battle of the mind was good for the soul.
Pax tilted his head, expression of sinister curiosity deepening as he began questioning Lia in a darker tone than he'd been speaking with before, "What do you want from me? That is my first question." Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. Being called out was one of Lia's least favorite things. She hated it, it made her feel attacked and cornered. She'd admit up and down that she was a shitty person, but the second you called her out on it, she felt personally attacked. So she sighed and placed her hand on her head, knowing that it was a lost cause. Dropping her cute little act she did a small click with her tongue, a nervous habit she had in real life that was translating into the game. " I just saw your armor, and assumed you were super strong. I'm just trying to gather allies, and most of the time guys like cutesy girls who show off their body and junk." she sighed and stretched her arms in the air. " But such a cool and awesome knight is way out of my league I guess." She said placing her hands behind her head. Guessing he'd probably still buy her dinner but otherwise it was over. " You're to smart for me I suppose." She was being a little sarcastic, but her voice sounded completely honest. She was easy to call out on her shit if you looked into it to much, or if you didn't want to believe a girl would like you like that. But whatever, she'd take the free meal and move on. ✎ tags -- ( PAXILON) ※ notes: Boop Boop Shadoop [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Pax nodded and pondered on the situation, serious look still on his face. He was a little taken aback by the using her body against him thing, but decided to shove that one into his subconscious. He waited until she was done, and then he smiled. And then he laughed. He had been looking for allies for the past couple days now, slashing open pigs, taking hikes with people he didn't know. Then, there was this girl, who was showing him her boobs in hope that he'd help her out. He put his hand over his face and lessened his laughter for a minute. Glancing at the girl through the gap between his fingers, he smiled.
"You think your body interests someone who's put this much effort in the game?" Pax let out a breath and shook his head sadly, moving his hand back down to his lap, "Please, a man as invested in gaming as I am can't afford to be distracted by a woman's body. But, I gotta say, I'm not against what you're doing."
He scratched the side of his cheek, choosing his next words carefully, "Honestly, if you can get a bunch of guys to flop for you that easily, you could really bring people together later. So, I'll tell you what."
"I'm sure you have people who figure it out too late and don't like you much," Pax opened up his menu and flicked through the screens, humming a bland tune to himself, "So, I propose that in lieu of seducing me and taking whatever it is you desire, I'll let you contact me if you ever get in life threatening danger."
Saying all this, he realised he actually respected what she was doing. He wasn't one to get petty over such basic circumstances. If he could flaunt his body and take peoples' hard earned materials, he most certainly would in a heartbeat. So, with a sincere grin, he flicked out a friend request to Lia, "Sorry if I ruined a game for you, but let's be honest; you wouldn't have gotten anywhere with an idiot like me." Liatris
