Gran sat at her table alone, sipping of the tea that was a little colder than she wanted. She'd meant to leave an hour ago, but someone had caught her attention. She took another tiny sip from he cup as the woman leaned over the table again to touch the man's hand. Gran wanted to puke. The girl wasn't too awful at it, for being so young. But the man was such a buffoon. No woman will come on to a man that powerfully, she thought to herself, Not even a newly wed one.
The waitress walked over to that insufferable table and the man paid for it. What an idiot. She saw the two exchange a couple words and the man got up and left. Gran quickly finished her cup of tea and got up very deliberately. Bending her back a bit, she put on a very convincing hobble towards the girl's table. She slowed down to nearly a crawl as she reached the girl's table, and started speaking in an almost stereotypical elderly tone, "Excuse me, missy. Do you mind if I sit across from you? My friend left a while ago and I could use the company."
Without waiting for a response, Gran practically shook herself into the chair. There weren't many people left in the inn, so the waitress AI was immediately focused on her. She nodded slowly and decided some more tea would be nice, "Oh dearie, I would love some of that house special tea. It helps my throat."
Immediately the waitress was off to fulfill the request. Gran slowly turned her gaze back to the girl across the table and gave her a cracked smile, "You'll have to forgive me . . . I don't have much patience for social graces anymore."
She nodded casually, like sitting down at a stranger's table was normal. To anyone watching, it would seem like the girl across the table was just conversing with an NPC. Surely no one that old would be playing this game, right? Gran relished the fact that her age made people extra suspicious over her. Gran wondered what the girl thought, though. "See, I lost my grandson yesterday and . . ."
She started breaking into tears. She choked on a couple sobs and tried to wipe her tears away. If she had been an NPC, this was about the time a quest notification would pop up. She really wished she could make that happen. For now, she'd have to deal with being a grieving grandmother. Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. " Ohohoh all that col!! Wow you must be soooo strong~" Man this guy was putty in her hands. He had a bright red face, and he was all for the moe girls. She looked at him with large sparkles in her eyes, something she learned how to do easily. " Thank you for the tea~ But don't you have to meet your friends soon." The man blabbed on " Awwww okay, I'll miss you~" She teased as the guy left. Ugh. That one is probably the stupidest in the game. She hardly had to try. Sadly, as soon as he left she got a message from him. She kept avoiding him each time he wanted to 'confess' to her. Man, yeah right. It wasn't like Liatris hadn't dated her victims before, sometimes she'd get a little attached, but once things got serious she was out of there. Now, this guy she had no attachment too. But she wasn't ready to leave him just yet, there weren't that many people in the game and the number was only growing smaller. She sighed, ignoring the message and going back to her tea. It didn't take long for Lia to know that the woman was acting weird, it wasn't like the game made her still old. She could move and do things in the game that she probably couldn't do even if she was young again. She was up to something. After a moments thought, Liatris knew she really wanted to know what it was. " Sure, I don't mind!" She said in her normal, bright demenor. but the granny was already sitting down. Meaning she really wanted something, the AI came and left she looked at the woman in front of her. Wondering what an old woman wanted with her. " I mean, I'm twenty and I don't have time for them either." Honesty, was the best way with granny's, that was unless they were sexual or something. Then again a granny playing a video game could be on a whole nother level. For a moment Liatris really believed she was an NPC but the name was for sure not yellow. So when she started crying Liatris wanted to back the fuck out and run away. Nope nope nope nope nope. She was not good with feelings, and especially an old woman crying. " W-w-we've all lost people I'm sorry to hear that.." She said, obviously uncomfortable. " Is there something I can do for you?" Man, this lady might be better then this at her. Shit. She admired the shit out of her, that was for sure. ✎ tags -- ( granxgran) ※ notes: Trusty Info Broker here mam'! [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Gran sighed, her sad grandma persona melting away as she propped her elbow on the table, resting her chin in her palm. Her lips flattened out into something that was almost a smile and she raised an eyebrow coyly, "Damn it, girl. You really don't deal with emotional people very well do you? That's such a pity."
She chortled dryly at herself and then focused back on the girl, licking her lips evilly, "I forget sometimes that most people know about the Nervegear letting people like me move normally. That probably didn't work towards my performance. But anyway, it's a pity because emotional people are so much easier to exploit. A level headed man could give you his pockets, but one who wants to cry on your shoulder will give you their life. Ah, but I shouldn't talk so much about things."
"Actually, I should get to the point," Gran took her head off her hand and crossed her arms on her lap, making room for the NPC that was bringing her some tea, "See, I've been making some plans. But, before we get into that, I should introduce myself."
She picked up her steaming tea cup in a dainty grip and smiled at the girl, taking a deep sniff of the tea. It almost smelled like chamomile. She took a daring sip, enjoying every second of the burning sensation in her mouth. She let out a pleasant moan, and set the cup back on the little plate that had come with the tea. She let out a satisfied sigh and looked back to the girl.
"My name is Gran," she began, tilting her head a bit as she watched her new acquaintance's face with a greedy smile, "I can see you are more into the material things than most of the other buffoons in this game, and I respect that, but to be quite straightforward, I'm going to use that against you."
"See, I could make us both a lot more Col than your . . . operation," She closed her eyes and nodded slowly. She would try her best not to lie to the girl from this point on, as she didn't appreciate when liars lied to her, "The only problem is that it will take a long while for it to come to true fruition."
She averted her eyes and looked out the window at the bustle of people that were outside. She smiled at the opportunities that this world was giving her, and then she continued speaking to the girl, "So, basically, if you want a lot more than you're getting right now, and you're patient enough, tell me now and I'll explain it all to you. If not, send me on my way and you'll never hear from me again."
She turned her head to the girl and gave a little wink. Liatris

❝ don't ask me to fix you. I'm just a band aid for your heart. The granny didn't end up keeping the act up for long. She also saw right through Lia the second she started crying. Emotions were her weak spot though, it just sucked for Lia that it was the first thing the ganny tried on her. She looked at her for a long time, wondering what she was getting at. A moment where she thought she was just making fun of her, it pissed Liatris off before she continued. " I agree, the ones who need someone to sob too are a lot easier to talk too... it's just waaay harder when it's a sweet little grandma." She said rubbing the back of her head with a soft laugh. She liked the woman, she knew she did from the moment she came over. The grandma she never got due to a father who locked her away so she'd clean and cook for him. Liatris smiled " Nice to meet you Gran, I'm Liatris, and I don't mind being exploited." Damn, did this girl have no fucking shame? Apparently not, but it was obvious that she was excited to hear what this person wanted to exploit her for. Gran explained that she wanted to use her for something, and being useful was Liatris' favorite thing. She didn't even really need to know what it was, and she could already sign the girl up. Her heart pumped with excitement as one sentence left her lips. " I'm a patient woman." ✎ tags -- ( granxgran ) ※ notes: Trusty Info Broker here mam'! [googlefont=Open+Sans]

Gran was extremely pleased with herself. She grinned and laughed softly to herself as the girl spoke. Liatris, huh? That was a bit on the nose, wasn't it? Gran giggled internally and shook her head. Best to leave such jokes to after she had secured the girl's assistance. Gran leaned back in her chair and let Liatris finish speaking before nodding slowly, musing aloud, "Patience is good to have. You can get a lot more if you wait for things."
She giggled a bit and went to take another sip of her tea. She eyed Liatris from over her cup, sipping the still hot tea as she gathered her thoughts. It was important that she didn't miscommunicate here. She set her tea cup down lightly, holding the tea in her mouth a little longer than she should have. She gulped down the tea and smiled.
"I'm going to make a guild after a while," she finally began, almost seeming to chew on the words, "I've noticed that most of the people here are without direction, easily fooled, or have a strange sense of altruism for their fellow man. Being the apparent grandmother that I am, I attract a lot of this attention."
She shrugged a bit, as if none of it phased her, "Of course, there's only so much little old me can do, and that's what I need you for. Your . . . prowess can be easily used to gather information on players, rumors, and even other guilds."
She placed her hand on the table and wrapped her knuckles against the wood methodically, grinning maliciously, "Information is much more valuable than just your good looks alone, darling. I'm not saying you need to affiliate with me or my group, I just want you to be . . . and information broker, for lack of a term with more subtlety."
"In return," Gran was reminded of old negotiations she use to mediate back in the real world, and she suddenly felt rather nostalgic, "I will send people your way. Knights and rogues alike, all either willing to spill their secrets or their coin purses, or if you're good enough - both."
She calmly smiled at Liatris, taking another sip of tea. She gave the girl a look that suggested Gran was done talking and expected a response. Liatris
