re: take quest, kill pigs, get colAiya finally felt comfortable with the combat structure of the game and how real it felt to hold her ground in an actual sword fight. If she didn't know better, she'd think that she was enjoying slaughtering these squealing pork chops. But, truly, it just felt good to be moving, and to be exercising in this environment.
The redhead kept up her pattern of kiting, skill, basic attack until she landed the felling blow on the pig she'd been fighting with. As her slant skill shattered the creature back into glittering fragments of data, she sheathed her sword and stood stationary, waiting for her partner to finish slaughtering the hog in front of him.
"Let's wrap this up," she said. "It's getting dark, and I'd rather not have to find dinner smelling like pig snout."
Aiya saw two more pigs standing in a patch of grass near the town's gate. "We'll get those two and turn the quest in."

Fujiashi finished off the other hog soon after, breathing heavily as the particles fizzled in front of him. He reached out and attempted to grab onto one of them, just to see if it was even slightly tangible. He felt the sensation of something in his hand before it too shattered. He looked over at the other two pigs near them, and then back to Aiya. He nodded, readying his sword as he charged into the mob, His sword taking on its usual glow as he slashed downward into one of them, embedding the blade between its shoulder blades before ripping it out of flesh.
This shouldn't be much longer, now that we both seem to have the hang of this. He noticed that at least this encounter was a simple pattern. He had heard about the labyrinth in the middle of this floor, and wondered what would be contained inside. Someday I'll hopefully be able to be on the front lines to help us get out of this death game, and back to the real world.

re: take quest, kill pigs, get colAiya noticed the sudden rush of energy that her partner displayed towards fighting these low level monsters and wondered briefly what was floating through his head. Snapping back to the task at hand, she cleaved through the remaining pig standing between her and her 40col, the pattern they'd worked out on the last group holding true.
"I suppose, for the amount of time this took us, that you could say this was an effective combat tutorial," Aiya mused. "Or, that we are just really terrible at playing video games." She shrugged.
"When you're ready, let's go back to the NPC. I'm ready to be done slaying pigs." Aiya turned and began walking back into town, her pace just a bit slower so that he could keep up. SaveSave

As the final pig disappeared into the abyss he sheathed his sword, looking down at his hands. He opened and closed them a few times, still getting used to the sensations of this Full Dive. Every strike of steel on flesh would send a vibration up his arm, resonating through his entire being. Every hit from the pigs causing him real pain, though not unbearable. He looked around his HUD, noticing that there was a silhouette that resembled a man with clearly defined head, arms, and legs. Did this mean that severed limbs could possibly happen in this game? He snapped out of his contemplation as she spoke.
He followed after her as she went back towards town, catching up quickly. "I see now why they force you to take two or more people on the quest though. When a level 1 mob hits harder than you do with a Sword Art, it could get pretty grim pretty fast." The reached the quest giver NPC. Before he started the quest completion conversation, he turned and looked at Aiya. "Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for helping out a newbie like me with this quest. I know we're all in this together at this point, so I knew our paths may have crossed at some point anyway, but it was a lot of fun, even if it hurt a bit." He shrugged slightly, and hit the Complete button on the quest screen. "Well, I guess this is where we part ways for now. Let me know if you ever want to go questing again."
