It was nice to see that Eris had some vulnerabilities, and wasn't just a mean lady all the time. As she finished crossing the bridge, Horus didn't bother asking her if she was okay; he knew what kind of response he would get. Either a sarcastic quip or an outright insult. Instead he offered her a simple nod, and quickly glanced across at Raiken.
He wasn't sure if she had anything against heights, but he had confidence that she would be fine. Turning his back, he glared up at the cave before them. "There's almost definitely monsters in there," he mused aloud, not really to Eris specifically as much as it was just a statement. If she reacted to that, Horus didn't see it. But he drew his sword anyway. Horus stepped readily into the cave; not far, just far enough where the light from the outside could still illuminate the cave. He just wanted to take a look before they went in too far.
It wasn't as dark as he suspected; there was no reason for the room to be this bright, but it was as if the game willed them to be able to see. Maybe this was a feature on early floors, or maybe the game just wanted you to be able to see all the time. Regardless, Horus called back to Eris, and Raiken too if she'd made it across yet. "Looks good in here. We should be good to go!"

QUEST?: Height of Glory TAGS: eris Horus NOTES:
Your posting text here| Speaking: 00d6ff Thoughts: 9d7bc2 Raiken waited for the other two to cross the bridge, before simply walking across the bridge while keeping her eyes on the boards in front of her and keeping a hand on the rope so she can catch herself in case the bridge gave way. Breathing slowly to keep her cool, she jumped the part of the bridge that had a hole in it, and kept on going across the bridge.
She used to be scared of heights until the fear had been trained out of her, by her instructors making her stay at the tops of trees for hours on end for weeks. After making it across the bridge, she found that the cavern was lit. "Make sure you keep your weapons out, there is no telling what might be in this cave," she told the other two while taking the lead this time. "Horus you will take the back, make sure you keep an eye behind us and warn us if something is coming from behind," she told him putting some trust in the man to not let the group down.
Raiken started to lead the other two through the cavern while paying attention to her surroundings. Every so often, she would look behind them to make sure there was no second openings that could be missed by the rear guard. Stopping, Raiken looked back at the other two. "It's a good time for a break," she had said since they had been walking for a while and the 'air' was getting thinner. It might be a game, but they had to take this slow otherwise they could be in real trouble due to the thin air. It was better to be on the safe side, then run off recklessly just in case the thin air were to cause a negative status effect.
