“I’m fine!” August chirped back as she held her sword in preparation for another horizontal strike with her Sword Art. The boar’s HP bar was down pretty low now. Maybe she’d be able to finish it off? With a horizontal slash, August brought her sword across the boar’s back legs. Before giving it a chance to react, she slashed down across its hindquarters with a basic attack.
No, not enough. The HP bar had dropped significantly, but she still wasn’t able to completely defeat the creature. “Can you finish him off?” August asked as she side-stepped closer to Farms. He had made quick work of the other boar. Farms had managed to slay one of them in the time it took them to bring just the one down to a quarter health; he really was being humble about his own skills.
It was unprofessional of her to take her attention away from their enemy, but August couldn’t contain her excitement when Farms offered to make her and Raiken armor. She had browsed through other shops, but the people were strangers and she wasn’t entirely sure if she could trust them enough given that they were all players and not NPC shops. Maybe she was becoming a little too trusting of Farms. He was helping them out quite a bit but they all still had only known one another for a short time.
Still, it didn’t hurt to at least inquire on his prices and the like. Maybe if the deal was better than those other player shops, she could give his craftsman skills a try. If he was more a craftsman than a fighter and he was this skilled at combat, August could only imagine how good he was at making armor. “I have been looking for some plate armor. Something white, I’m not a fan of the regular metallic gray the NPC shops sell,” she huffed. It really was a boring and distasteful color in her eyes. “I’m sure I couldn’t afford your craftsmanship though,” August mused, “I imagine you’re quite skilled and I’m quite broke.”

QUEST?: Hog Wash TAGS: august Farmsalot NOTES: All your notes in here, don't worry this entire box scrolls. Hearing the man talk about plate and chain armor, all Raiken could do was mentally reject it due to her ideas from the real world that plate and chain armor would restrict her movement and be too heavy for her fighting style which is speed-based. "No thank you," she told the man as he was assaulted by the boars they were fighting. After a bit the girl would ask her if she could finish the boar they were fighting off.
'Doesn't hurt to try,' Raiken thought as she prepared her sword art which was going to horizontally strike the pig in it's side. After charging her blade up a bit, Raiken charged at the boar and sliced through it's hide. After the swift strike, she struck the pig once more this time with a over hand downward strike at the pigs back. Due to her weapon, the pig was still alive if barely. It squealed with weakness and started to turn towards Raiken.
"Finish it," Raiken said while jumping away from the pig so the other person could finish the boar off. Raiken knew that she wasn't going to be able to do the final strike on the beast in front of her.

He smiled to himself as he looked over to the boar they were fighting, it's HP almost completely depleted. They would be able to handle it no problem he was sure. While he wished none of them had to take part in this fighting, he was glad that he could have a hand in helping these two get their first taste of combat without getting hurt. From the looks of things the two of them would be able to kill the beast before it had a chance to strike again, meaning he could finish off the final boar and everyone would be out of harm's way.
Farms stepped toward the boar, quickly moving his blade back and forth. The two slashes were enough to completely deplete it's HP, causing it to burst into crystals almost immediately. Taking in a breath he turned to look at August with a proud smile, expecting to see the two of them standing fine and ready after killing the boar. He was glad to hear that at least one of them had an interest in protecting themselves with armor, though he wished the younger one would equip themselves with it as well. But as he had learned there was nothing wrong with cloth and leather armor. Everything would have their uses.
Eyes widened in shock as he came to realize his mistake. Apparently he had overestimated their damage and their boar was still alive, although just barely so. And it was about to strike. "Look out!" In that instance in his mind there were no stats. All he saw was a boar charging toward Raiken, the boar he was supposed to make sure didn't get to her. He couldn't react quickly enough, the beast moving to gouge at her body with it's pointed tusks. He should have paid closer attention.

“Got it!” August shouted in response as she quickly placed herself in between Raiken and the barely alive boar. So its second-wind had finally kicked in, hm? She didn’t get there quickly enough to defend herself and Raiken with an attack, so August just simply used her body to block the damage instead.
It hurt less than she expected, a realization that made her smile at a very inappropriate time. She looked up for a split second to confirm that her HP wasn’t at a dangerous position before flipping her sword up at the boar and angling it horizontally to cut through with one sweeping motion.
August could feel her blood pulsing as she used her Sword Art to finish the boar off. She didn’t need to follow up with a second basic strike of her sword. She had tried to, just for good measure, but the boar exploded into a puff before she could land the second blow. “We did it!” she shouted as she jumped up in place. She was proud of herself, even if it probably didn’t seem like a big deal given how she had help from another newbie and a seasoned player.
“Great double-teaming!” she cheered at Raiken a she held her hand out for the girl to high-five it. The three of them had done a great job, even if there had been a small slip up. “Let’s go talk to that NPC,” she suggested as she turned to Farms, “and then I want to show you some diagrams of what I’ve thought of for armor.” August was proud of admit she had thought about it for some time, even if others would be embarrassed of admitting they daydreamed designs in their spare time.

Raiken watched as the boar charged her, she was prepared to put her blade out in front of her to defend herself from the charge only for the girl to jump out in front of her to defend herself from it. The younger girl watched as the boar slammed into the girl without mercy and the girl to finish the boar off. It was impressive that she would risk herself for someone else. Raiken did not alter her expression and kept it normal.
"If you could, can you point me to someone that makes leather armor?" She asked the man who had ran over to them. Raiken had asked that after the other girl had spoken about diagrams for her plate armor. 'If she's so reckless all the time then she'll need the protection of the plate armor,' she thought while pulling up a screen and sending friend requests to both Farmsalot and August. She was impressed by the both of them, and it seemed like she could count on them if she were to ever get into a tight spot.
And if they were to ever get into a tight spot, then she would go to them and help them with whatever it was that they needed. Raiken was already thinking about opening a smith shop for blades, maybe if they went to her shop they'd get some sort of friend discount on their weaponry.

Farms winced as August took the blow, quickly glancing between her and her HP bag. Fortunately she didn't seem too bothered by the attack, in fact her smile made it look almost as if she enjoyed it. Maybe she was just glad that she was about to protect Raiken? That was the only answer he could think of as he slowed his approach to a walk, lips curved into a deep frown as he nodded to the two.
"Good work, both of you. I'm just sorry I let that one slip past me." They were lucky that it was almost dead. If he had made a similar mistake earlier...well he would have just had to kill it. Upon realizing the situation was much less dire than he initially felt, he finally relaxed a bit, his shoulders and expression relaxing. Neither of them seemed to be too upset about the whole thing, so why should he get so worked up?
He laughed softly as it was suggested they head to the NPC, eyes turning to look at the quest log on the side of his screen. "Don't get ahead of yourself. We still have one more. But I'll take care of it. You two earned your rest." Resting the spear on his shoulder once more he turned to look at the boars roaming around and taking in a deep breath, still feeling a bit of guilt for slaying them. Though he wasn't able to focus on it long, as the two of them seemed to be quite eager to get their hands on some equipment.
Brows rose as he returned his gaze to August, free hand moving to curl around his chin as he nodded along. "Diagrams you say? I would love to see those. I'm not much of a designer myself. Maybe if we can scrounge up some materials in town I could make you something as soon as today." There was a pause as he looked to Raiken, Farms quickly going through the different people he had met in game and what their goals were. "No, I'm afraid I don't. There was a man named Leviathan who wanted to be a tailor. But I don't know how far along he is. Though if you two would like a weapon I know someone who could help with that."
