The silence drug on as Pax laid down on the bench in Horunka, staring up at the clouds above him. He had taken off his armor and put those shabby starter clothes back on. It would've been fine if it hadn't been for the snow. He smiled tensely as another flake hit his cheek. He was testing out just how heavily the system affected a player's body in the game. If he got too cold, would it make him sick? Would he start sneezing and get reddened cheeks? At least, he told himself that's why he was doing this. He was mostly just bored.
If nothing else, it was definitely cold. He yawned and considered taking a nap, but was stopped as an NPC walked up to him and started blabbing about the children playing in the snow. He raised an eyebrow and sat up. NPCs almost never talked to you first unless they had a quest or you'd stabbed them. He certainly hadn't attacked this lady. Then she mentioned the dire wolf. There it was; she'd given him a quest! He nodded and went to accept the quest, only to be stopped by the denial icon telling him he needed another player in order to do this. He groaned and shook his head. Were there even any players in Horunka right now? It was pretty out of the way.
"The reward better be worth it," he grumbled to himself as he sent out a quest beacon, wondering what kind of person he'd get first. @open Quest

Cheshire had been walking around Horunka. She was here with her brother but he had gone to sleep early as he'd been questing all that day and she had been just well she'd done quests but not like he had. It was sort of an odd thing for her. She was always used to having him around. However, she followed his rules. She wouldn't go out of town without someone with her but she really wanted to go do something fun out in the snow. So when she saw the quest beacon she couldn't help herself. She knew she wasn't exactly all that ready for combat. However, she did want to learn how to do combat so she thought maybe doing or watching would help her but it wouldn't help her if she died. Also it would really not be good for her brother. Still she needed the experience in watching and she had to get it on her own. she wanted to protect her father too. She walked up to where the beacon was and then looked at the NPC and the person that was sitting there. She smiled happily. "I can help you." She said seeing kids in the distance and the woman speaking to man. "I can help." She was really happy someone needed her help and she wanted to help them. Perhaps a little overzealous but still she wanted to try to help someone. PAXILON

Pax yawned. It wasn't long before someone showed up, but he wasn't sure if they'd shown up really. He narrowed his eyes at the petite little child who had walked up to him and insisted on helping. He raised an eyebrow in question and cocked his head a bit. Honestly, if it was just one dire wolf, he could easily do this quest by himself. The party requirement had stopped him dead in his tracks, however, so maybe the girl could help. With a sigh, he pushed himself up from the bench and stretched before looking down at the girl.
"Listen. This quest involves the strongest enemy on this floor, excluding the boss, of course," he pointed a finger at the girl, "If you want to help me with this, you won't be fighting. The only thing you do is help the kids get away from the wolf. Nothing more, understand?"
Saying that, he opened his menu and equipped his armor. After a few moments, he was covered from head to toe in thick, black armor, his helmet covering his face almost entirely. He went back through his menu, not thinking about how the sudden image of a fully armored player might shock the child. He sent her a party invite. Cheshire
