AS I OPENED MY EYES AND LOOK AROUND AT THE BEAUTIFUL WORLD AROUND ME I THOUGHT TO MYSELF 'THIS WOULD BE AMAZING IF ONLY IT WEREN'T A DEATH GAME.

AINCRAD DAY 2
Rythin yawned as the games internal alarm woke him up out of a deep sleep. Rubbing his eye's he waited for his vision to clear, before standing up. Rythin was in an open arena within the city that was swiftly filling with other early riser players that were getting ready to set out for a day of questing. Rythin couldn't help but to smile as the thought struck him. 'This is virtual reality'. Reaching out in front of himself he stretched his fingers in their fingerless gloves wide, Rythin sighed knew full well that his body in the real world wasn't moving. He wondered weather or not someone had found his body, yet. It had been two day's since this nightmarish death game had begun. Sighing at the thought, Rythin flashed his finger to the side to open his item inventory. Scrolling through his inventory Rythin took note of all the stats of the gear he was wearing. Typical adventuring boots that everybody started with, as well as the dark pants and a worn out red and white shirt. The only non-starting item that he had was the free one-handed sword that the Blacksmith and owner of Ninja Smithing Raiken had forged for him for free. With a simple touch of a button the sword was instantly equiped to his back. It wasn't the type of blade that he was used to but it would do for now. Besides the player Raiken had been nice enough to forge it for him for free despite not even knowing him, so it would be rude not to use it.
Closing the menu, Rythin moved off to the side alleys, wanting to get away from the crowds. he never was really big on being in large crowds. As he moved away, his thoughts drifted to the creator of this death game and the NerveGear, Akihiko Kayaba. The man was a genius; he created this game and the hardware necessary to play it himself. He'd been developing the game for such a long time that it started when he was in his twenties. That takes a real dedication, and Rythin wondered if he would ever be that dedicated to something. In away Rythin admired the man as much as he hated him. Once again Rythin came out of his musings to find himself walking down a path with plenty of shopkeepers selling items and equipment. Rythin figured he'd soon become acquainted with the NPCs that ran the shops in due time, so he didn't look at the wares. Not that he had enough Col to by them anyway.
Entering the Wildlands area of Floor one Rythin spotted a random white haired NPC who was waving at him. Rythin figured that this was one of those random Quest NPC's he had heard about. Walking up to NPC Rythin listened to him explain the quest to him.
”We've had some angry pigs attacking the roads lately! It's sad to say they use to be Farmer Spud's pigs, but they got out a few weeks ago. Now, they're become hyper aggressive. Could you help us thin the heard so we can try catching them? I think about five or so will get the job done.”
After the NPC finished speaking a message popped up explaining the requirements for beating the quest, as well as it's spoils.
"So objectives are to kill five Angry Pig's and the reward is 20 col. Sounds simple enough." Rythin said to no-one in particular as he clicked accept in the window that had popped up in front of him.
BACON BONANZA?.. HUNTING PIGS?. SOUNDS SIMPLE ENOUGH..I HOPE.
