He closed out the window and hummed a tune while making his way to the Inn of Beginnings. Apparently, it was a rather large tavern that was a great place to meet other people and get a good night's sleep. Vaguely, Areto wondered how it would feel to sleep inside of the game. Would he wake up with bed head just like he did in the real world or would it be controlled because of the system's mechanics. Nonetheless, it was bound to be a good learning experience. Once the doors opened and he was greeted with the smell of something delicious along with a rather friendly atmosphere, Areto couldn't help but smile. He almost felt as if he was back home with his parents and little sister laughing about nothing and eating meals. This was different, however. None of them were here to start off.
But he did have Theta to look forward to.
How could someone so sweet be so prickly inside of a game?
Then again, when no one knows you, it was easy to reinvent yourself.
Areto took a seat at a table nearest to the windows. The rest of the place was packed with other adventurers and a few ruffians who were more than likely NPCs. He leaned back in his chair and watched the crowd from the window wondering when the "dark knight" would make her appearance.

You know, sometimes, Reveka wasn't sure if Ryuunosuke was teasing her or not. He seemed to grasp the ideas and concepts behind the whole 'roleplaying' thing, but attempts to get him to play along were met with either his sassy attitude or... something else. Really, Rev just plain wasn't sure if he was humoring her, or making fun of her quite a bit of the time; with Ryuu, these two things went hand in hand, honestly. All that said, when Reveka got an alert from her friend to come join him in the game for dinner, well, she had a hard time finding any reason to say no - she was even excited. Of course, Theta wasn't quite excited, but she was willing enough to indulge the request, finding the warmth of inns pleasing even if she chose not to indulge in needless conversations. The dark knight definitely made an appearance; steps proud and practiced as she walked into the inn, shooting a few looks around the room, her back straight and her head held high.
Locating her acquaintance, she slid into the chair across from him, planting one elbow upon the table and resting her cheek on it, settling into plain looking at him for a few moments. "You sent for me, Areto?" She greeted, then glanced about the inn. "Did you have any concerns?" Theta asked; a part of her couldn't believe that he would request her presence again so soon. Just what was so special about her? Knowing what little she did of the enigmatic Areto, she'd have to say 'nothing', and that perhaps 'he was just like that' - but it was still a question in Theta's mind, enough so that she wanted to ask further. If nothing else, maybe he had some sort of job for her to tackle.

There were quite a few people that stood out in the crowd. Although, most of them were dressed in the garb of a beginning adventurer and didn't really stick out to him whatsoever. Mostly noticing the various colors and people who cling to others or the few that were "brooding" alone by themselves. It seemed as though a lot of people were trying to find their niche early on in the game. Whether to be the brooding loner or interact with others to get the best of the gaming experience. Areto wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do yet.
On one hand, he could've asked to adventure with Reveska. But she was rather deep into her dark knight roleplay and probably wouldn't be open to someone like him tagging along with her. He had to commend her for her ability to stay in character for so long. The things that Theta was capable of doing, he couldn't possibly imagine the real Reveska emulating, not at all. It only proved the power that the mask held over other people. However with his real face being put on display and the only thing protecting his anonymity being a name, he wondered if he shared the same sentiments as her when it came to being a "new person".
His thoughts were cut short at the sound of a chair scuffing the floors across from him. She sat down and before he could greet her, she was already asking about business.
Oh geeze, would this girl ever change?
Biting back a smile that was threatening to spill out — he hoped she never would.
"Glad that you could make it, Theta," he chirped. "I was hoping that you'd have dinner with me so we can discuss what to do about the rest of our time in beta."
Leaning back further in his chair until he could feel his head touching the back of the person behind him, he folded his fingers comfortably across his chest.
"We've already been on one quest together which was great but there is so much more we can do," Areto said. "Have you tried making friends with any of the other players?"

Ryuu was always a really nice kid. Reveka liked him, of course... but he always let little things slip that made it a little hard to roleplay with him. For one, what was a 'beta'? A character in a video game would not know what a beta was, or that the video game was in beta - it went against the whole point! For that reason, Theta frowned at Areto. "I was not aware that I was in a 'beta'," She said, thickly, a reminder once more. And then, her attention was drawn to the way he tilted back in his chair. He was so... crass. And without manners. Theta could feel her carefully crafted chivalry withering and dying inside just looking upon this man. "I certainly don't mind dinner, and I am curious as to what else we can do..."
Friends, though. That was a bit of a tough one, and Theta bit her lip. "I have spoken with a few people. Notably, I met a princess - and I intend to spend much of my time seeing to her. What of you? Who have you met?"

[attr="class","strawberry"] [attr="class","coconut"]CAN'T EXPLORE ON AN EMPTY STOMACH When her eyes narrowed at him and she frowned, Areto knew that he stepped on a land mine. He chuckled and waved his hand as an apology while rubbing the back of his head. The person that he was leaning against tossed a glare at him over their shoulder but he didn't return it. Rather, he just smiled a bit wider and crossed his legs with a little hum. So she met a princess and would be spending most of her time on the game with her. That made a lot of sense. She was deep into this roleplaying deal and would more than likely be devoting her time to it anyway. Dependable Reveka, loyal to the very end. " Well, I hope that you won't lose time for your pal," he said. " I've met quite a few people though I don't remember all of them by name." He hummed and opened up his menu. " Let's see.." He raised an eyebrow. " Well, I suppose the question is, who haven't I met yet."
