The streets around the Prancing Jester Inn, the Golden Oasis Inn and in between. There's less than two blocks between the buildings.

Kenseiryuu stood outside the Inn with her gaze turning on the streets in front of her. The scouting team from Team B should be out there with their equipment, but the rest of the team was there, and planning to hole up it seemed. This was problematic. What if the team with the equipment didn't make it in time before the other team attacked. Nervously, she put her right thumb against her pinky. She had to calm down, this really wasn't healthy. Was she sweating? Could she even sweat in virtual reality? It was kinda gross, really.

Tip tap, she's out.
It takes a bit of an effort, but she climbs. She manages to find a good roof, and jumps across. Skittering, almost falling - the skill is brand new, cut her some slack - she manages to hold on. Rinse, wash, repeat, she finds herself moving through the rooftops.
She's looking down, to see if anyone she doesn't know show up, when her inbox rumbles. She checks the notification, and quickly sends a party whisper.
''Guys, change of plans, Areto is staying at the inn. Take out anyone you meet on the street except for our known spy. The second one should say my name, that's the safe word. Known spy has white hair and is a cute little girl.'' she whispers.
Hopefully that got to everyone, as she narrows her eyes and waits, hoping that nobody looks up.

Meanwhile, sitting on a pile of boards in a slightly obscured dark was a curious little albino that was watching for signs of movement, which unfortunately, the bored young man wasn't getting. He didn't know why everyone was taking this game so damn seriously. In fact, if anything, if you acted casual and calm, the game shouldn't be all that difficult at all. Areto was pretty skilled at defending himself-- Albedo had seen it first hand. He was literally the highest player on the server for a damn reason.
He sighed and leaned back against the pallet of wood, staring up at the night sky. It was nearly time for him to sleep soon. He could feel it coming on. Maybe he should just turn on his new skill and take a nap--
... Hello.
He sat up, his blue eyes narrowing in the dark as he thought he saw someone jump from one roof to another. Now. How the damn did he get up there? He smirked ever so slightly, and he gripped his sword, the thumb overlapping the fingers in their tight grip.
He'd get at least one kill in, he bet.

Kenseiryuu looked around worriedly, not seeing signs of the equipment team. With nothing else to do outside, she turned around, heading back into the Inn. [[ exit to Inn ]]

Alkaid had her orders, and a steady flow of adrenaline in her blood. She was doing her best to remain in control of her actions, and not lash out at the first person who startled her. People who acted on instinct suffered from it, and if not them, their team did. Sure, they'd respawn if they died, but that didn't make anything better.
She gave a slight nod in Big Bird's direction. Her first (pvp) fight! This was like... legal street fighting. Oh, if her parents could see her now; starting a gang war in cyber space. "Showtime." Her voice was soft enough that one could easily miss it if they were not paying attention.

Tailing behind Canary and Alkaid at a distance, Kiki glanced back to her knight in shining armor for the evening to ensure she was there, before looking back ahead to continue her path towards the inn. Her eyes drifted towards some messages being exchanged, but with nothing of importance to add to the conversations, she kept quiet and simply smiled to herself. Drawing her blade, she knew she wasn't the most equipped person in the world, but she was certainly ready to be the biggest pain for the other side. At the sound of screams in the distance though, Kiki blinked a couple of times before looking back at Theta. " ... Was that a girl just now?"

It most certainly seemed to be a woman screaming, and it made Theta tense, defensive. She had deemed Kiki her own, after all; she wasn't at all keen on anything that spelled danger for the woman (despite her actually having more HP than Theta... Reveka ignored that.) Theta growled underneath her breath, and then said - "Be careful, Milady," hanging back to the shadows, watching with a careful eye, preparing herself for an attack just in case that screaming decided to get any closer. The proximity of the other's base was too high to be arrogant about it all - and Theta hoped that Kiki would remember to move with care. The knight waited, wondering if the mysterious 'Sonic' would show himself soon. (SORRY FOR SHORT IM SLOW --)

Though she got some pretty useful information from Celsius through King, Eve knew that she probably wouldn't be able to follow through. If there were players as strong as Sonic and the others in her team, then it was safe to say that the other team was just as talented. She was the lowest level player. There was no way she could really outrun or escape them if they knew her face.
Still. Eve squinted, wondering what Kenseiryuu was doing. Did she not get her coordinates about her position? Well, considering the timing, it was possible that the girl had left before King told the group. Should she try to get her attention? The detective snorted.
That was one of the first rules she learned as a detective. Never call for attention. And so... she didn't. If luck was with her then the girl would magically find her way to her hiding spot. Or not. Kenseiryuu just entered back in.
And blood began to rush through her. Albedo's spotting of one of the enemy members made her think of her next course of action.
"Stay out of sight and see if we can meet up. Maybe we can take down someone who's by themselves," Eve replied in the party chat.

It was hard for Sora not to be nervous. Here she was, about to engage in her first PvP battle, in a game that she's still getting used to, and still only at level 1 with just the basic starting gear. What could possibly go wrong? With what little money she had, she stocked up on a few healing potions, sadly not having enough to get any better equipment. She'd simply have to make do with what she has now. It was certainly better than nothing.
The girl wasn't exactly brimming with confidence; that much was obvious. And it probably wouldn't be hard to see why. That said, since she was here, she was determined to give it her all. She knew what she needed to do, so at this point, all she could do was try to see it through. Looking to Canary, she debated on sending her a whisper to ask if she needed her to do anything; she chose not to, not wanting to distract her from what she was doing.
For now, she just kept an eye out for anything unusual. She could at least do that much.

It was like static. Soon enough, she supposed, things could get started.
The blonde knew that she was perhaps three rooftops away from the other team's base. Patience, she supposed was the key here. Not that she wanted it. The goose chase should start relatively soon, she supposes. But before then, she needs something...
''Come on.'' she whispers, encouraging someone to make a move.

Post by Alkaid on Sept 29, 2016 18:02:52 GMT -6
While Canary was busy being a ninja bird, the rest of them were stuck on ground. Alkaid knew it was best if they wanted to catch the other team unawares, but could not shake off her unease. She wasn't envious of the other's acrobatics, and was even less keen on getting caught out if there was an ambush. An inexperienced fighter could be dangerous, and her sword may very well slip between a pair of ribs. Like Sora's, or the blue haired girl following close behind them. Theta, the valiant knight, would jump in the way to protect the Delivery Girl, and then it was all down hill from there.
At that moment, she was sorely tempted to do something foolish: take out her sword in preparation. Instead, she lightly rested her hand on the hilt as she got into position.
