"Ruler?" She asked quietly, albeit mostly to herself. With narrowed eyes she examined the back of a figure among the crowd, her features twitching to a moot frown. Everything was different. Everyone was different, too.
People were... afraid, maybe? She wasn't certain. There was fear, and confusion, and excitement, too. A lot of players had conviction. They believed there was a way out and that they would find it… The rush for power had begun and would foster a deep, irreparable divide. But there was also doubt. Some players believed that it was all a joke, that it wasn't real...
Her first instinct had been to join the rush. Truth or lie, real or otherwise, she did not want to fall behind. She would rather be ahead of the herd than behind it, but…
But here she was. She milled around pointlessly in the town, listening and watching and wandering. She learned and she noted, astutely aware of the state and opinion of the majority. Perhaps she was still surprised like everyone else...
Or maybe she was just waiting.
"Ruler." She spoke again, shifting her position atop the statue. Lingering outside of the castle and lounging on a creature's likeness made of digital marble, she people-watched as quietly and carefully as a gargoyle.
Until she spotted someone she thought she recognized. Unable to remain completely idle, Cross hopped off the statue and weaved her way closer, trotting through the crowd to catch up and grab the young man's shoulder.

Ruler
I hope you don't mind me assuming they knew one another to some degree already. ^^ If you do, just let me know and I'll edit accordingly
