Marth thumbed the hilt of his sword while sitting on the outskirts of the Town of Beginnings. He felt restless lately and wasn’t sure why he wasn’t able to just keep still. Wanting to do new things, see new people, just get out and away. Ever since news reached the labyrinth had opened up, he was itching to get stronger. Strong enough that he would be able to take on the monsters inside even with a team. Strong enough so that he could reach her. Marth patted his cheek to try and get the thoughts out of his head before it took him over again. Ever since their little not date and the awkwardness that ensued when his uncle showed up, he wasn’t sure what to think about her.
She invaded his thoughts sometimes but it might have been because of what they had gone through. The things that he learned from her and wanted to repay her for. The more he said it, he seemed to convince himself but it didn’t make sense on why his heart beat a bit faster sometimes. Or how he remembered the exact color of her eyes or how pretty her hair was to him. How he liked to see her smile or hear her talk.
Marth grumbled and slapped a hand against his face only to send a beacon into the sky not too long afterwards. The sun was just rising over the horizon signaling daybreak. Maybe someone else was wandering around just like him and needed something to do and a way to distract themselves.
The quest was rather simple and wouldn’t take long. But it’d be enough.
